Very good tablet for the money
As an owner of Lenovo y700 I wanted a back up tablet and love the 8" tablets. Is this the quality of the y700, no, is it a good tablet ,yes.At the money paid, probably the best tablet out there.Lovely size , quick CPU, screen quality good.Perfect for my day to day usage. No issues with the sound.Android 14 as well and latest update on sept 2nd as well.

Quality tablet with an ipad mini feel
Android tablets work for me at this screen size and price, throw it in the bag, consumption not creation, but they are often marred by build quality, laggy performance and eccentric skins. This Aldocube does at lot things well for the price: solid ipad mini like build quality, snappy performance, and an android 14 skin that borrows some of the familiar bits of ipadOS (no app drawer, pull down from the right hand corner for quick settings, pretty decent face unlock) without any bloatware.

Pleasantly Surprised.
Was looking for a decent spec android 8" tablet with a 3.5mm headphone socket, but was struggling. Samsung A7 lite, Lenovo M8 and Amazon Fire HD Plus were all given a chance, but were all very sluggish, especially trying to play HD or 4K videos .... what I primarily need one for, a portable media player for trips/holidays.Came across this Alldocube iplay 50 mini pro following a review on a tech site and took a punt. This isn't without some faults: tinny single speaker and odd positioning of the headphone socket on a corner, and the battery could be a bit bigger, but, these aren't deal breakers, and this copes with all my videos and music without a stutter on a decent quality screen. It's less than a quarter of the price of a new ipad mini with the same memory, (looks very similar to one too) so don't expect the highest specs possible, but, in my opinion, is well worth the £129 I paid for it.

Lovely little budget tablet
Update 13th Nov 2024:This tablet spontaneously died mid-use after just over three months regular usage. Appeared to power itself off and will not power on. Device is physically intact having been fitted with both case and screen protector. Cannot boot to any recovery mode and only detects on PCs as a USB Serial port. Dropped from 5 to 1 stars. A terrible shame. It was a very good tablet for the price, but reading around it appears that it suffers serious reliability problems. Avoid, because the warranty terms are unclear and after 30 days you'll almost certainly be looking at having to pay return fees.----Original review:A surprisingly capable performer, the Alldocube iPlay50 mini Pro NFE is "the little Android tablet that could". The 1920x1200 TFT screen is impressively sharp, and whilst it's not based upon the most cutting-edge ARM SoC, the Helio G99 is still a capable processor. Speedwise it generally performs on-par or ever-so-slightly better than my six year-old OnePlus 6 which is based on the (then cutting-edge high-end flagship) Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. This tablet can do more than Netflix and Web browsing. For a quick test I installed Steinberg's Cubasis 3 digital audio workstation on it and was pleasantly surprised to see it ran really quite well.TBH I'd like to see a bigger battery in this tablet, but in fairness the battery life seems to be perfectly acceptable. That said, turning the screen brightness up hammers the battery noticably faster. The sound quality from the single speaker isn't particularly brilliant, but that's a trade-off I'm more than happy to make. If I want good sound quality all I have to do is pair the Alldocube with any half-decent wireless earbuds. Talking of which, this tablet supports a good old 3.5mm headphone jack socket and can also take a micro SD card. Top marks!Time will tell if Alldocube continue to support this tablet with firmware updates. In terms of bang-for-the-buck I'd say this is the best tablet on the market right now. It matches or exceeds pretty much every spec on the contemporary Samsung Galaxy A9 mini 8" tablet at a significantly cheaper price. Astonishing!Great job, Alldocube!

An Android Ipad Mini Pro
I've been searching for a premium 8inch tablet on the Android platform for some time and after sending a couple back I was contemplating buying an iPad Mini but was severely put off the different ecosystem as I have always been an androider but the manufacturers of Andriod tablets just dont seem to see a market in a high end 8 inch tablet. I bit the bullet and purchased this iPlay 60 Pro.It blows the Samsung A9 tablet out of the water. The screen on the A9 is atrocious on a device in 2024 with very poor resolution and you could see every pixel. Sent it back after a day. The Lenovo Y700 should have been the device to buy in this size, but it doesnt have GPS functionality. It seems pretty snappy to operate and runs all Pilot software, Skydemon etc, nicely. GPS works as expected.Read some comments about poor speakers. Well they aren't exactly Bose, and my Samsung S23 speakers are much nicer on the ears but the sound is clear enough as long as the volume isnt max, just a little shrill in the treble and lacking any low end but I wouldn't buy something of this size for hifi quality sound in any case.Very pleased with this device for the price.

Great tab, let down by WiFi card
This device is brilliant, until you want to use the device over 3m from the router/access point. Outside of this range the WiFi reliability is extremely poor. I love the device but I will be returning it due to this issue.

A great tablet
Used for several weeks and I'm impressed with the look and feel and performance. I bought this to replace my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8" which is incredibly slow due to it very limited RAM. Well done to the manufacturer!

Very good Android 14 tablet
As an Apple and PC user an android tablet always was needed for various reasons. It had to be low priced and offer most Android important features. A handheld possibility was preferred as were LTE, decent screen and processor. After looking, reading reviews and trying a few, it came down to this Iplay 60 pro mini during Prime Day.This device is impressive in all ways: size, screen, sound via BT with earbuds, battery life and features such face recognition, BT quick response, etc…Now the questionable: likely no updates and no support thus no much security. WIFI is rather on the weak side compared to say iPhones’ level yet does not impact streaming any videos or live feeds.Since gaming isn’t part of the equation this device does everything wanted and at a great low price.LTE hasn’t been tested yet and is critical to be a keeper so we’ll see in a near future. For now an incredible little and convenient tablet. recommended

Important information. Read before buying!
Update: While i still like the tablet I discovered a hugely important issue for buyers in the USA. Warranty. There is none. I repeat there is no warranty. Yes you have 30 days from Amazon in which to return the tablet. But Alldocube provides absolutely no warranty. None. Zero. Nada. Here is my chat with Facebook chat with an Alldocube representative:Me:"What is the duration of the warranty on my tablet?"Alldocube:"The warranty duration can vary depending on the platform where the tablet was purchased, as each store or dealer may have their own policies. Since the store is managed by a third-party dealer, I recommend contacting their customer service directly for specific details about your warranty."Alldocube"Based on your description, it seems like the issue may be related to the screen itself. I would suggest considering repair options."Me:"If there is no warranty then a repair would probably cost me more that the tablet did! And it appears that you are telling me that Alldocube does not provide any warranty for their products sold by Amazon in the USA."Alldocube:"This means that warranty support is provided through the seller, not directly by Alldocube. If you’re experiencing issues, you should contact the dealer or platform’s customer service for assistance."Uh so there you have it. The Alldocube tablet is kind of an orphan. At least in the sense that they do not stand behind the product. So no warranty. Nada. They do not even offer the option to pay them to have it repaired. Their response was "go find someone to fix your tablet" I don't know but I suspect it also means that an Alldocube tablet with Android 13 will never get upgraded to Android 14 or 15. There is no after sale service. Keep this in mind before buying the tabletYour best solution is a) find another brand that does stand behind their product or b) purchase the extended service contract offered by Amazon. Which will increase the price of the table proportionally. You may want to consider that price increase in your decision. The tablet may or may not be much of a "deal" if you have to buy your own warranty. Or you can always just roll the dice and see if you win. Keep your fingers crossed that the tablet is not a 90 day disposable. And here is my review of the tablet BEFORE I learned there is no warranty.Plus: Nice screen, relatively fast once it boots up, decent battery life. Sound is ok. Some users have complained about the power cord entering at the top of the device rather than the side or bottom. For me that was a non-issue. I like the screen size, weight/thickness of the tablet etc. It has a headphone jack! Wow, that's almost unheard of these days. And a microSD card slot. Not just a microSD card slot. It also has room for sim card.I primarily use it as a book reader along side a KOBO. But I have used it on cross country flights to watch videos with ear buds. FWIW my KOBO is a probably a better e-reader than the ALLDOCUBE. The ALLDOCUBE is a much better tablet than the KOBO and works quite well as an e-reader.Cons: This is rather petty but the edges of the tablet are just a little sharp - that is they are not rounded. Certainly not sharp enough to cut you or anything like that. But just know that the tablet does not have rounded edges. So it might be a bit uncomfortable to hand hold. Mine is now in a case so the edges are not an issue.

Excellent inexpensive tablet for reading, videos, and emulation of older games
I bought this tablet mainly for watching movies in my bed or reading my phone wasn't an ideal size. And thanks to manufacturers strong arming customers, modern phones now lack expandable storage and headphone jacks. Both of which are nice if you don't want to fiddle with Bluetooth in bed or hope a streaming service has what you want to watch. In my opinion tablets now are in an awkward place where they're only really useful for fairly narrow cases where a phone is too small and a laptop is too big or cumbersome. Which means it's hard to justify for myself purchasing a Samsung Tab S9 for $800+ or an iPad for $350+. In contrast you can purchase this tablet which is on sale all the time for less than the cost of taking a family of 4 to Applebee's.The tablet itself is actually very nice, unlike cheapo no-name Android tablets of 5 years ago, the iplay mini has a solid 1920x1200 IPS panel. It's not as nice as my S23 Ultra sure, but it's miles better than the garbage dim 1280x800 displays you usually get at this price point. It works great to read books, my only minor quibble is the IPS display can't get nearly as dark as an OLED can, but it's not bad either. It even comes with a film screen protector installed, which is a nice touch. Build quality seems good to me, it's almost all aluminum. Performance is... Fine. It's not going to be running Switch games on a emulator, but it plays lighter games ok, and most importantly it doesn't feel sluggish to use. I was skeptical that the "virtual ram" would actually do anything, but it does seem to let the tablet keep a number of background applications open after you enable it, more than you could with just 4gb of RAM. So, it seems to actually be useful after all. In put in a 512gb microSD card loaded with movies, old games, books, and music and pulled out my old corded headphones and have been pretty happy. In short, for $69 (it's on sale for that much all the time, don't buy it when it's listed for $89) you get a tablet that'll do nearly everything a tablet that cost 5X as much does. As long as you're not looking to run Genshin Impact or Switch emulation this is probably all you need for when you want to use a tablet.
