Sadly, I can only give 1 star for this. I bought one of these about a week ago and after about 2-3 uses the motor had blown. I could smell a burning from the motor the first time I used this dust extractor.The seller was excellent and gave me a refund immediately.I thought I would try another (thinking that I just got a faulty one as a one off. (I've had VonHaus dust extractors before and they've been great). Unfortunately the same thing happened to the second one. Same burning smell. Same result. Stopped working after a 2 or 3 uses.I've requested a refund, which is yet to be processed.The customer service is very good. Just a shame that the product is so faulty.

Came quick very easy to assemble fantastic suction very pleased so far not filled the bin yet. Worth the money

The media could not be loaded. The manufacturer needs to pull this product, I read the other reviews thinking it may just be some unlucky people. Received mine, followed the instructions, hooked it up to my VonHaus mitre saw. Before I could even make a cut it started sparking and smoking. This product is a fire hazard.

As a dust extractor this works very well, the suction power is deceptively powerful for the size of the motor housed in the top of the unit. Once assembled with the filter bag and pipe in place I did a couple of test runs using it as a clean up vacuum with a suitable adapter fitted and as an extractor while fitted to a couple of different saws/sanders, it removes a lot of dust and debris however one thing I would suggest is securing it to something before using, the body is basically a light metal drum and when at full tilt it can move around when under load especially if you get a little too close to a surface and it locks onto that surface, when this happens the drum kicks over with the heavy motor at the top helping to tip it over, easily avoided by strapping it down or mounting it in an enclosure, other than that it's a great little vacuum for the workshop.

Barely had this for a month, and first time I used it for an extended period... 1 hour and not even continuously! The motor overheated and cut out
