Best Replacement for the Elite Series 2
This is the best replacement for the Elite Series 2 controller. I hated so my aspects of the ES2, but I could never find a controller that beat the good aspects of it, until this controller. The profile switching, wired connection, and loss of a mid setting on the triggers are slight cons, but everything else is great. The plastic material feels better than the ES2's cheap rubber grips, the back buttons are perfectly placed to mimic the ES2 paddles, hall effect joysticks should never get stick drift, the mouse click buttons are super satisfying, and the claw buttons are a nice addition if you have long enouh fingers or play claw to get use out of them. All of that, plus it is a fraction of the ES2's price. I use to get drift on the ES2 after just a few months and replace the controller every year, but I don't foresee needing to replace this controller as often if at all, and even if I do need to replace it, I won't be spending half of the price of the console itself just for a controller. I have tested multiple other controllers, and this one has by far been my favorite. I highly recommend it.

Amazing lightweight xbox controller
The razer wolverine series have always been my go to for xbox controllers. The extra buttons on top have always been perfect for me as i dont like the paddles on other controllers. (I only ever need 2 buttons mapped melee and spot usally depending on game). The previous versions of this controller have all gotten the same issue where after about a year, the a button registers multiple presses each time. So i took a chance after the v2 and got this v3. I am loving it so far. The buttons have a matte finish so they are not that smooth plastic of the old ones and feels much better to press and use. It feels more light weight and even tho i dont use them, it had 4 paddles along with the 2 extra buttons on top. Each button feels like a mouse click and when you use the slider to stop the triggers half way it sounds like a mouse click even. (It seems to be much faster to register triger pushes in this mode vs the last models and enables much faster semi auto firing if needed). Its been about a couple of months with no issues and no complaints. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent priced better than default controller. I dont know how it stacks for other pro controllers, but as someone who games for hours with fps, fighting, rpg, racing, every type of game, i would always recommend it. Will update if there are issues down the line.

Absolutely fantastic controller, IF you can get it to behave.
This controller has got a lot going for it, feels great in every way, I was used to dual rear paddles, but adapted quickly to 4 and stopped using front buttons completely. And the trigger locks have upped my game considerably, but it’s all for naught since this controller has some serious reliability flaws on PC. I play hours of competitive pvp daily and this controller will work fine for about a week or two before it starts exhibiting serious issues. 1st controller: worked solid for about two weeks before the haptic feedback would suddenly jump to max and keep vibrating excessively while jerking my aim in random directions, have to fight the stick to get it back on target and unplug the controller and replug it to stop the excessive vibrating. The issue is progressive, it started happening once every couple of days and slowly progressed until it was happening several times a match, totally unacceptable. I returned it for a replacement which was solid for about a week then suddenly began disconnecting in the middle of a match, constantly… I had about 10 disconnected controller errors in a 15 minute period. This was not a physical wire connection issue as others have had, pressing any button would immediately get the controller working and the error would go away until the next one popped up. Both controllers also have some stick drift on the left stick out of the box when set to 3% dead zone, but not terrible. Flicking the stick causes it to reset properly and stop drifting, my 2nd controller has the least drift. Setting the zone to 0% causes a lot of drift, so I keep it at 3%. In comparison, my gamesir T4 had zero drift with 0% dead zone, it took 7 months of daily use to cause just a tiny bit of drift at 0%, unfortunately the back buttons do not last and begin sticking after constant use, which led me to the Razer controller. I paid full price for the razer and did not get a free one, so this is my honest review of a $100 controller with serious glitches. Great packaging and premium feel (when it works.) amazon won’t give me a 3rd replacement, so I’ll just have to return for a refund, which is too bad because I really like this controller, but I can’t be out $100 for something that is giving me these kinds of problems when controllers for less than half the price don’t have these kinds of issues. I would steer clear; you can google the issues above and find that many people are having similar problems with this controller. One other issue I had with this controller on PC is that my keyboard and mouse will not work in game while this controller is connected. This prevents being able to utilize any sort of chat function or alternative control of your character while the controller inevitably glitches out. Even going into windowed mode to try and do something on the desktop while the game runs keeps my mouse function locked out, I have to ctrl+alt+delete to get it back. I've never encountered this issue with any other controller on PC. Also, as others have pointed out, the USB-C connection on this controller is as cheap as they come. It's the only physical part of the controller that feels like complete junk, it disconnects easily and wiggles under the weight of the cable right out of the box. Terrible oversight considering this is a wired only controller. If you're set on taking on the challenge of owning this controller, I would seriously suggest using a Mag safe usb-c style connection adapter so that you can minimize wear on the port. *Update* I had to downgrade my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. I thought I had been able to address the random disconnect error by using Xbox polling mode (250Mhz) instead of PC mode (1000mhz), this actually stopped the random d/c errors, and I was willing to use 250hz for reliability. However, a new problem entirely has emerged; the controller now just shuts itself off completely in the middle of a game. Pressing any button does nothing to turn it back on. I have to disconnect it from the PC and reconnect, then press the Xbox button repeatedly-almost like I'm giving the dumb thing CPR to get to 'come back to life.' A few times I thought it was dead completely because it didn't respond after repeated attempts, but it eventually comes back on, absolutely ridiculous. It's already cost me a competitive match, such unreliable junk unworthy of "Tournament" anywhere in its name. It's really unfortunate, because the Razer design team did a fantastic job on this controller, if only the hardware and software team were as good. Because for whatever reason, this controller is determined to misbehave no matter what you do to try to make it work. And I see this is a common theme across many of Razer's devices.

Great Controller, Horrible Glitches. Buy With Caution
I have complete, mixed feelings about this controller. Out of the box, it worked amazingly well. I am a rhythm gamer, specifically on Fortnite Festival. I used the controller's instant triggers and beat my high score on Through the Fire and Flames. However, about 2, maybe 3 weeks after it came fresh from the box, I started to hit a MAJOR issue and I think I'm the first to get this. If the controller has been vibrating for a long time, for example when hitting "perfect" notes in Festival, the controller's input will lag and you will feel a physical reaction in the rumble motors, almost like a stall. It's enough to ruin an intense combo, hence why I'll be returning this product. If this glitch didn't exist, I would highly recommend the controller. I heavily enjoy the triggers as well as the remapping capabilities. However, do keep in mind this controller seems to be giving everyone some kind of issue, whether it's a bad cable port or extra inputs. As horrible as my issue was, I won't give it a 1 star, simply because the issue was more or less fixed with turning off the vibration; but at that point, just get the 8k TE as it has slightly better stats at the expense of no vibration.

Don’t buy the elite controller! Get this!
The Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition is a nice step up from the previous model. The underside button placement is much better and the buttons feel built to last. And those two extra buttons on the top are MONEY! I’ve had no drift at all on the sticks and after continuous daily use there are no signs of wear and tear on the buttons. One drawback is the USB connection. The cable plugs straight out the back without support, and mine started disconnecting from getting bumped. I added a 90-degree adapter and that solved the issue. I still wish it had replaceable thumb sticks in different heights, but extenders do the trick. Overall, it is a durable, responsive controller that feels great once you work around the USB port design. Beats the previous version and the elite controller hands down.

The ONLY Review you Need to Read
Price: Compared the Scuff Instinct Pro (What I did use for about 2 years until the controller suffered from stick drift) it performs very similar when it comes to aiming and movement. Scuff Instinct Pro was $200 while this controller was half the cost for the same felling and results. Buttons and Paddles: The buttons on the controller feel amazing since they are that “mouse click” sounding buttons. When it comes to the mouse click triggers (that are adjustable) they fell really good. However, I think the Scuff Instinct Pro has them beat by the slightest of margins (BUT very similar). The back paddles are not as firm feeling as the paddles or “back buttons” on the Scuff Instinct Pro. However, they are still very receptive and have a nice click feel to them. Still need a little time to get use to the different placement of the back buttons on the controller since I did use the Scuff Instinct Pro for the past two years. Sticks and the Anti-Drift Technology: The sticks are a bit more resistant compared to the Scuff Instinct Pro (meaning that they are not as loose or free flowing). The sticks out of the box seemed to have the slightest amount of stick drift when looking through the APP you need to download on the Xbox to set up the controller bindings and settings. However, when I get into games there is no NOTICEABLE stick drift and they are very solid and react well. Response Time and Connection: When it comes to the controllers response time in FPS games it seems very solid. I haven’t had the opportunity to play on my monitor with the controller yet, but it works seeming well on a regular TV. I have had no issues with the connection with the wired controller, however I have not used the connection cord that came with the controller. The performance could vary in that regard. The cord I have been using is the cord I got with my Scuff Instinct Pro and it has performed very well with the Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition. Features: This controller does not have removable sticks and other customizations in that regard need to be purchased separately. I am currently looking into the Kontrol Freak stick extensions and they seem like a very good option since customization is not offered for the Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition. TOTAL REVIEW: I think that when it comes to the price, quality, and performance that I have had so far with the controller it is definitely worth the investment if you are not looking to spend $180 or more on a controller. I am a very competitive gamer, but no where near the professional level. I think that if you are looking for a great controller that will give you a competitive edge, this is the controller for you. For more custom options to enhance this controller you are looking at an additional $20 - $30. That would bring the grand total to around $120-135. I think that this controller is very comparable to the Scuff Instinct Pro and gives you everything you would need while still saving $100 for a premium controller. Overall, I rated this product as a 4/5 star because of its qualify, effectiveness, and the enhanced gameplay I still have been getting through using this controller. The only draw back is that you do have to pay slightly more for customization options, the back buttons are not as firm as I would prefer, and the fact that straight out of the box the controller did not have a PERFECT 0.0 stick rating when it came to its “drift”. Like I said though, there has been no NOTICEABLE stick drift that has impacted play by any means. Still a great controller for someone who doesn’t want to pay over $180 for a controller. If I did not care what a controller cost, I would still prefer to use Scuff Instinct Pro over this one. The Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition is a great controller for its PRICE and the similar gaming experience I have gotten compared to the Scuff Instinct Pro. The other thing that I liked compared to the Scuff was that the V3 TE has the new anti-drift Hall Stick technology. I am eager to see if the Hall Anti-Stick Drift Technology will increase the longevity of the controllers lifespan. No one likes to spend $200 or more every 2 years or so on a new controller. I would rather spend $100 every 2 years for a new one. However, only time will tell if this controllers anti-stick drift technology is legit. Hope this review helps!

great controller with minor issues
I never had any issues with this controller such as stick drift, button going bad or bumpers going bad...none of that I bought both the tournament edition & the Pro version & the T.E. edition is better. The pro version disconnects, but not often. I use the T.E. edition for both xbox and PC & I love how versatile it is. My only 2 issues is #1 the razer app which you can't see what other profiles you have made from xbox to PC besides the only 4 programmable profiles, the other issue of this controller is the ergonomics, the handles part where you hold the controllers is too short. They should of kept the ergonomics from the first razer wolverine which the handles are longer.

Great at first, but running into the same problems
I’ve been a HUGE advocate for the Gamesir G7 SE. At $45 you get Hall effect sticks and two VERY slick paddles and a super nice controller shape that helps you really own the right stick as you aim. The only problem with the Gamesir is the lack of extra paddles. I’ve always been a 4 paddle guy, so being limited to 2 sucks. However when looking at this Razer controller, they advertised SIX paddles, a paddle redesign, mouse click triggers, and 1000 pull rate. Here’s my experience after a month of use: The buttons feel great, the trigger reallly is mouse click and they feel awesome, and the paddles are expertly designed. It’s by far the best 4 paddle configuration I have ever felt. The Hall effect was great too. The negatives is that the 1000 pull rate is pretty trash. From testing, the controller goes from 750 pull rate when you stop sending signals up to 950 once you start doing inputs. And once you stop it rests back to 750. It is so bad to have the controller jiggle between pull rates. It’s literally alternating the response time. I was willing to overlook this though, I was also willing to overlook how fat the controller felt in my hand, making it awkward to use the controller with kontrol freeks. What I was not willing to overlook is the fact that the damn USB port became spotty. After just 1 month of use, the controller would disconnect if I slightly touch the cable, or even just playing the game would cause it to unplug. The constant 1 second disconnects is a complete dealbreaker when you’re using a controller competitively. I had this same problem with every Elite controller I used in wired mode, and my Gamesir has never ran into this problem, even after a year of use. So either I got a bad batch, or the controller is just a sturdy USB port away from being a T3 controller in the market. TLDR; Advertised features are great and best inline, but the usb port stopped working consistently after a month of use. The controller disconnects and reconnects after any slight touch.

Gran control y gran calidad

Closest you can get to the feel of gaming mice. Good overall package.
Pros +The face buttons feel very satisfying to press love the sound and feedback. Every button has a satisfying click but the face buttons have that extra cushion to make it a hybrid where the sound and action is like a mouse but depressing the key feels like a nice mechanical keyboard. +The hair triggers with mouse click option is awesome too, practically no delay, they feel and sound just like a mouse click, I bet people who are very familiar with gaming mice like myself will love them, though I can see some people disliking it if you are expecting a feel like the face buttons on a regular controller or something hard when pressed it might not be for everyone. + The extra shoulder buttons are nice and responsive, paddles are also very easy to click and have the same mouse click type feedback + Excellent feel in the hand compared to a stock controller, feels more ergonomic for my medium sized hands. I have tried the elite series 2,dual sense edge on ps5 and of course the stock Xbox and ps5 controllers and I like the ergonomics of this controller the best. + Build quality is good, seems solid, provided braided cable feels very premium too. + Mapping the extra shoulder and paddle buttons is super easy, you don't even need the app. The controller has a dedicated function key that you press down in combination to assign and you get feedback through the led light when the assignment is successful. Cons - The sticks leave a lot to be desired, perhaps the weakest point of this entire package. They don't feel as satisfying and smooth to use as the Xbox elite. The closest comparison is the stock Xbox controller, if you are fine with how those feel you will feel right at home, I prefer the smoothness and glide of the elite and dual sense edge on ps5. But no stick drift risk here, you win some you lose some i suppose. Would have liked: +The paddles to be detachable, you are kinda stuck with them on permanently. I like how elite and dual sense edge give you a choice if you want them on or not. +Wish the face buttons had some colorful accents like the stock controller or just a dash of color here and there, the stock all black look is a bit boring and basic I feel. + The price to be a bit lower, I feel 100$ CAD would have been perfect for what's on offer here, regular price of 140 is not bad value, but it could be so much better. If you can get this on sale itll be awesome. Conclusion: Happy with the everything on offer here. If you like the feel and clickiness of gaming mice, or are a PC gamer looking for something analogous to that in controller form, I feel you will be very happy with this controller.
