Its general construction and the inclusion of heavy duty flooring will keep wet weather out and ensure contents remain protected and dry. The double door opening, window and integral skylight ensures ample access for natural light. You can even choose to have the window located on either side, should you need to locate it near a wall or fence. Reinforced steel construction combined with resin makes the structure extremely durable and is designed to withstand the vagaries of British weather. An air vent is also included to allow circulation of air to prevent condensation and any potential build up of damp. The assembled dimensions are approximately: 178cm wide x 198cm deep x 208cm high (70" x 77" x 82"), including the eaves overhang. The doors can be secured using a standard padlock (not supplied), so you can rest assured that your valuables are kept safe. Simply slip a padlock through the loop in the doors. The double door opening enables easy access to the shed, making it far easier to store larger items such as your BBQ or lawn mower. The shed, including the flooring, is made of high-quality, heavy-duty resin which should provide years of trouble-free service, and stand up well to the rigours of daily use from garden tools and equipment. No other ground preparation is normally required. For the best results it is recommended that you construct the shed where it will be permanently positioned. The building can also be anchored to a hard surface such as concrete with the appropriate tools and additional accessories. The area for the base should be no smaller than 208cm x 148.5cm. Also allow sufficient clearance all around the sides of the shed to enable assembly on to the prepared surface. We recommend 70cm clearance between walls / fences etc. Planning permission ------------------- Typically, within the UK, planning permission would not be required, but the rules may vary from property to property. Please consult with your local authority Planning Department if you have any doubts. Can my shed be painted or creosoted with wood preservatives? ------------------------------------------------------------ No, the shed is made from an extremely durable resin material and therefore does not require time consuming maintenance and materials to preserve it.
