L'Oréal Paris Paradise (Waterproof Black), Intense Volume, Castor Oil-Enriched, Suitable for Sensitive Eyes, Soft Mascara Brush Included

Definitely not the worst mascara I have ever used, but not the best either. This is not too liquidy, so does not splatter all over your face when you apply it, but a week or two in I did run into problems. I always apply to my right eye first, put the spoolie back in the container then do the left. I found that after about the first week or so my right eyelashes looked clumpy but my left looked really nice still. I have now had to start applying to both eyes "simultaneously" (one stroke to left eye, one to right, and just keep alternating until I've got full coverage) and placing the spoolie back in the container to get the smoother mascara out. I don't like doing it that way, but it gives good coverage without the clumping I was getting before. Not sure why this is happening, I can't remember this happening before, obviously I've had "clumpy" mascara, just not clumpy then smooth. The spoolie shape is good, not one of those giant ones that stabs your eye, nor is it one of those fine ones thats only any good for your lower lashes.

I don't leave many reviews... I really should..... This mascara though deserves it....It goes on well, as usual after a few applications there seems to be too much product on the brush, but thats not a problem for anyone used to mascara.Where this this comes in for the full 5* review is it doesn't leave a trail of itself just below the brow....previous years once winter comes and I start using waterproof mascara I hit on the problem that the ones I was using (max factor and Revlon) would come off wherever my lashes touched my skin... I put this down to the Maybaline Baby Skin I always wear.... This L'Oreal one doesn't react to it...Yippee... I get home from dog walks with Mascara just on my lashes... for that reason this is gonna be the only one I buy till you can't get it anymore....no point in changing when you've found the right one.

I like thick fluttery lashes and this mascara gives me that it says it doesn't clump but it can if your're not careful. I usually apply 2 coats I apply one coat to one eye do the other then go back and do the first eye again before it dries too much as it dries quite quickly. It doesn't smudge or budge or flake off ( although it is waterproof so you would expect that I suppose) all in all a good mascara at a great price my new favourite.Review update:- I still love the paradise waterproof however on my last purchase I decided to try the non-waterproof one as it was cheaper but I could not believe the difference It just doesn't make my eyelashes look their best it doesn't seem to lengthen them terribly well and clumps up your eyelashes if your not careful. Its not a total disaster though I'd probably award it 3 stars and it stays on pretty well but the waterproof one is way better...in my opinion.

I wear this mascara every day. It doesn’t budge in hot conditions or when it’s wet. I really like it. It makes my lashes look longer and fuller but doesn’t irritate my eyes. I think this is the best drugstore mascara you can get for the price!

I haven't smelt a mascara like this since the 80's - in fact I'd forgotten how mascaras used to smell until I opened this brown mascara! It's not unpleasant, just not what I expected. The product itself applies well, though is much thinner in consistency than the black one which I have also purchased. The black is much creamier (though won't last you more than about 6 weeks before it clumps so much it becomes unuseable). This is thinner and drier (maybe because it wasn't sealed?) - makes me think I've been sent an old one that's been sat on a shelf somewhere for a while:(

KEEP AWAY FROM THIS MASCARA! What a waste money. The product didn't came sealed and seems dry. Not surprised if it came used before. Disgusting! This mascara is one of the most horrible product I purchased in my life. Nightmare to apply, even worse to remove it. Even with micelar make up remover. DONT TRY THE LOREAL FINE FLOWERS MILK AS IT DOESNT' WORK AT ALL. I had to scrub my eyes like hell and even though I had this bloody mascara for days on my eyelashes.This mascara on my eyelash seems hard, not precise, and accumulated like crazy, as clots.So, girls stay away from this product.

It arrived unboxed and unsealed but being L’Oreal I thought it was a reliable and trustworthy brand so risked using it anyway....Wish I hadn’t! The following morning I looked liked I’d been punched in the face - twice! My eyelids were swollen and red, absolutely awful, despite taking my makeup off the night before as I always do. Obviously had some sort of reaction to it, 2 days later my eyes are still sore and I still can’t wear my contacts, whether it’s the formula or the fact it wasn’t sealed - it makes me shudder to think about it and really wish I hadn’t risked it! Never again!

Love it. The mascara is pretty powerful in itself but with the primer it is stunning. Results are on power with benefits they're real combo, obvious different effects eg. this one is alot more thickening and gives good length, the latter one has more staying power and is waterproof also and gives length but not as much thickness. For nearly a quarter the price (full sized 2 products around 40quid with other brand) I think I'll stick to just over a tenner for these Via Amazon thanks!
