Splat | Midnight Claret | 30 Wash | No Bleach Formula | Temporary Semi-Permanent Hair Dye

Midnight Jade was a really nice green for about 2 days, but then turned into one of the nicest, truest blues I've ever had. A month later, it's still very blue, but my ends are slowly turning to a mermaid-y green. My starting color was a faded purple/brown/blonde mess, and it covered it all very evenly, and has faded very evenly.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  My son says I have mermaid hair now. It's in no way any shade of Green. Its straight up blue and it only dyed the blonde portion of my hair not the darker parts of my Auburn hair.

I repeat DO NOT BUY FOR THE TEMPORARY DYE! if I could I would give this 0 stars but gave it 1 because when you do with bleach it’s actually a nice color. But the temporary dye is such a mess!!!I originally got this for my 9 year old that wanted to dye his hair green. I did his without the bleach then did half of mine but with the bleach. He’s had two washes and this dye is EVERYWHERE and EVERYTHING he touches. His poor forehead, ears, neck, hands and arms are green. His pillow is stained. I have little green prints all through out my house and my tub is now stained as well.***a tip for those who got this and struggling with the mess, mix baking soda into your shampoo and let it sit in your hair for 5 minutes. We did this twice and was able to get all the dye outta his hair. Now we are focusing on removing all the green stains around my house***

I want to preface this by saying I hardly ever leave reviews and I sincerely try to not ever leave negative reviews, but here we go....Pro: (literally A pro)the color is gloriously jade. A beautiful blue based green that is gorgeous.Cons:1.directions for dying hair -on your head 🤔-tells you not to rub on scalp, I wasn’t successful and now have a splotchy jade scalp. I put Vaseline along my hairline and on my ears. It did block SOME of the dye but not all so you know I have that lovely green pallor framing my face - really brings out the eyes 🙄2. Unless you want everything to be this particular shade of magnificent verde then keep scrolling. My shower floor is bluish green, the grout (once white) is now blue, my feet are blue as well as my hands and fingernails. There are also a few droplets that found there way onto the ceramic tile and sink that are - you guessed it!- green3. I almost considered this a pro given the circumstances, but after 3 washes (every time the green/blue body staining gets refreshed fun stuff!) the color does seem to wash out fast. So now after 3 washes I have some green and some muddy brown spots on my head. Super confident going out in public (<<sarcasm)So good luck in your hair endeavors

the product here does not dye a full head, it does however contain a lot of conditioner which can be seen when you wash off the color. it has very little pigment in it that you will get your hair dyed but not all of it. you can apply it all over your hair and the color wont absorb in it because it does not have enough color. it will leave behind a slight residue of color on your bleached hair. My hair is bleached but it is so bad that i believe if you try it on regular hair it wont dye at all.

Okay so I was nervous about this after reading some reviews on here and online, but my experience has not been bad. I tested a strip of my hair to see how this would end up. To start I have naturally very light brown hair and I did not bleach it. Like I said, I tested a strip and let it sit for 25 mins. This turned into a beautiful dark teal. I have washed my hair twice since and it is fading as expected since it is 30 wash. I have not had issues with it staining anything.

I absolutely hate this product. I have dyed my hair several times using splat and had great results.1. Product should change name of color. My color came out dark green for the first night. After I washed it once color changed to a bluish color. Almost like a mermaid.2. I looked like either shrek or a smurf. When I showered the color ran all over my body staining me. I never had this with any other of the products.3, this is more a suggestion to splat. I think you should give two sets of gloves. One for application the second for removal.I will never buy this color ever again. I was planning on buying a different midnight collection color but have had second thoughts on that due to this horrible time with midnight jade.

It’s alright. The dyeing process was easy and i used the conditioner that came included as it says to use and i don’t know if that was what caused my hair to feel dry and ‘powdery’ i guess, it just gave my hair a very weird texture and i had to wash it three times with my regular conditioner and shampoo to get it back to normal. Color doesn’t show as much but it definitely lasts longer. Overall it did the job
