Catastrophic Failure
I have actively used this product for 1 year together with my son. He weighs around 55kgs and I weigh just under 80kgs. After one years usage the horizontal bar has suffered catastrophic metal fatigue and all of the welds around the vertical supports have failed. Luckily we were able to catch this in time before any serious injuries were incurred. Imaging hanging upside down on this with your knees and the bar failing - you would fall head first onto the ground with no real chance of saving yourself. In my case that would have been straight onto a concrete floor.I want to return the defective part and get a refund / replacement but I guess that is not going to happen. Klarfit, are you listening?

Terrible manufacturing tolerances.
I have not a clue how this has so many 5 star reviews. The connection from the bar to the ceiling mounts are completely different sizes which leaves a gap between them and as you tighten the bolts you bend the metal in on the bar (See image 1). Not only does this allow the bar to wobble and rotate slightly, the bent piece of metal is directly welded to the bar so when you bend it you are reducing the structural integrity of the item.

Now that it's up it's great. The wide grip is good
Now that it's up it's great. The wide grip is good, the narrow grip could be slightly narrower. It was a pain to attach though because the spacing between the holes aren't really matching normal roof truss dimensions. If they were about 7inches apart then great because two planks of 2X4 from any hardware store put together would be perfect. Instead the hole width is just too wide that you'll need two 2X4 and a 2X2 or another 2X4 in the middle. I used M8 nuts bolts and washers like a previous reviewer mentioned. It's great and hangs down to the perfect height to grab and hang.

Excellent product which gets the job done.
Bought this for about 35euros & shipping costed the same amount. I totally payed 70euros in order to arrive in Greece, but this little beast worthed every cent. Its an extremelly high quality product and it really gets the job done. For testing purposes there where two people grabbed on it after installation (totaly weighted 160kgs), being steady as a rock. One thing didn't like & i would suggest you to change if you'll eventually buy it, is to throw away the plastic 4 courbi it has & go get 4 metallic. Other than that we are dealing with one of the best price/quality ceiling pull up bars on the market.Oh, and i must also not forget the seller "Hifi-Tower Ltd. & Co. KG" which was more than helpfull on every process of my order.

Great pullup bar
Good price (£29.99). Great product. Easy to fix. A Bit of wood across the rafters; bolted through the wood and screwed to rafters.

Good, but think about where you are going to put it...
Fitted in my garage, to plywood board reinforced with additional timber. Not sure how you'd fit to a standard plasterboard ceiling as it would probably pull the ceiling down.Grips are a bit loose - I'll probably replace with mountain bike grips or racket tape...

good quality product but it needs a bigger and stronger bolts.
its a good mounted pull up bar, but i didnt use the bolts, they not seems to be very strong.i put the mounted pull up bar on the wall instead of the ceiling.i bought a bigger and stronger bolts and its steady like a rock.

nice unit, but a complete pain to fit
Cannot fault it for anything other than its a complete bugger to fit!! Not sure if that means it should really lose a star, but I was pretty fed up by the time it was attached to the ceiling!

Easy to put together
Easy to put together. I attached to wooden beams of my garage roof and it is really solid. Doesn't move at all.

Very happy. Easy installation. I installed on the wall rather than ceiling, and it is versatile enough for this to work well.

Inner handles are not strong enough for a 85KG person
The inner most handles put too much pressure on the welds at the down tubes when I do bodyweight chin ups on it.

Great quality item - shame about the assembly and fitting instructions.
Very impressed with the quality of this item. Really feels solid once it is attached to the joists. Assembly was easy, though attaching it to the ceiling takes some careful...

Good product, similar to other reviews I needed extra bolts and washers (Screwfix) to attach to boarded over joists in garage. Got my (much heavier) mate to test it first!
