Rechargeable Wireless Tubular Roller Shade Motor Kit with Remote Control for Motorized Electric Roller Blind Shades, 1.5 inch Tube

Purchased the blind motor to automate a new John Lewis roller blind. The plastic wheel inserts needed to be modified by filing a bigger groove to accommodate the tube inner, the plastic filed really easily and after just a few minutes both the roller wheel and collar fitted perfectly. The mounting brackets had to be customised too. I did try to buy a suitable set of brackets from Amazon but they sent the wrong ones. You need a bracket with a protruding metal tag on one end as seen here https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00E8ML4LA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_8TlZEbHC41WGBWould have been great if Amazon had sent the right one but they didn't and Reading the reviews seems to indicate that they often send the wrong one. Anyway once all modifications were made everything went together easily. I also have an older Broadlink RM2 Pro which I configured a remote for. Create a remote using the 'Curtain' template and add to the motor following the instructions for adding an additional transmitter. Then create scenes within the broadlink app to open and close the blind. These scenes can then be discovered by the Broadlink Alexa skill. You can then create Alexa routines to open and close the blinds using voice commands. Wotks very well indeed. I haven't been able to get IFTTT to see the device or scenes, not sure if this is due to my Broadlink unit being old and not compatible with IFTTT. I have ordered a new RM4 Pro to see if IFTTT works with that and will update this review if it does.Update:Doesn't link to IFTTT via the Broadlink RM4 Pro. This is a restriction with Broadlink and not the blind motor.

The Amazon listing for the Rollerhouse blinds is very confusing. It's hard to work out which unit is which and what is included / not included.However once you've worked all that out the units are pretty good and fairly easy to fit. Also very unobtrusive when fitted.Opening and closing the blinds is not massively fast; although it's not painfully slow either. You can just press a button on the remote once and leave it to do it's job. Getting the top and bottom limits is really easy and you only need to set it up onceI'm not sure how long is required between charges. But it is definitely in the order of months at leastAn annoying thing is that although it does fit standard wall mounts you need to buy a little attachment to screw into the end of the unit so it will interface with a standard wall mount. However in order to buy this small piece of plastic you need to buy a whole bracket set. There may be a better/cheaper solution to this but I've not managed to find oneAlso the instructions are adequate at best (especially for the installation steps) and do not really reflect reality of how to install the unit. Setting up the remote and limits is a little bit more understandable at leastI have two in the same room so ended up having to buy a different remote control that can control both units.I would definitely buy more of these for other rooms if they weren't so expensive. Compared with other options they are well priced. But still expensive

Controller totally different also the motor on this new design aldomo from the original dooya. would’ve been nice if we were aware of this before I ordered 4 to match 4 others I’d previously bought. The price hike is also not acceptable considering this is a very cheap brand that I could’ve bought elsewhere. The picture is not the one you will receive the aldomo ones that rollerhouse are now using are totally different

These doesn't seem to be a way of hanging this from the wall/ ceiling. The power bar has a completely different fitting to all other blinds,I can't leave a quality review until I will be able to actually use this item but really annoying as my othe electric blinds were very simple, seems totally unnecessary to an have a different fittingOnce I get a new fitting IL leave a review on weather it actually works

The media could not be loaded.  I had hard times to find the correct brackets to fit motor. I even ordered one that was recommended from one other review, but they didn't fit as different model came from what was on pictures.Anyway, I finished to do a custom brackets and it was even better. My blinds are of size 180x300cm so I had to make custom blinds as well (still needs some fixes on a side to be done). Motor fits perfect in tube and of course in new brackets too. It rotates without any issue up and down and it never struggled at all. This was the saviour for studio where I need controlled light over a day.

Very easy to install and setup. Good customer service to advise on correct size, only negative is I had to order an accessories kit but ill i needed was 2 screws and the bracket which screws on to the motor, only for that i would give 5 stars.Over a year later now and still going strong, can’t remember the last time I charged them, if they weren’t so expensive I would fit to all my blinds. Roller house offered to supply me with the addition brackets free of charge for future orders so if this was the case, 5 stars all the way.
