Little Hotties 8-Hour Hand Warmers, 40 Pair (Discontinued Model)

I live in Northern BC and used these for my hands until I saw a program about back problems and how some people reduce pain using heat. I put a hand warmer in a sock, place it in my pants on my lower back, wear a long shirt so the tail of the sock doesn't show. My back pain is connected to sitting and lying down. Sitting at work and getting up in the morning are very painful times for me. The lessening of my back pain is amazing when I use heat. The hand warmers are the best, they last longer and are warmer than the foot warmers. They are also much less expensive than those heat wraps one finds in the pharmacy section for what, 10 to 15 dollars for 3. They seem to last longer when I take them out and shake them up now and then. And, the heat radiates down to my legs and feels great when taking the dog for a walk in below zero weather. I just wish I could figure out a better way to wear it.

They arrived on time and were packaged well. A real advantage during this extremely cold winter. In the past I bought these in a big box store and then did not use them all until this winter. Excellent for times it is necessary to be outdoors--work, hockey games, funeral, ice fishing. This year I'm keeping some in my car in case there is an emergency. Judging on how long those other ones lasted I feel confident this product will be useful in future winters even if we don't use them all before they expire in july 2018. Buying them two or four at a time at a retail counter costs 400% more around here. I am in Detroit. These get hot. They do not last as long as HotHands. Made in China. Has the b.e.f.org seal--reducing the carbon footprint. I ordered both products at the same time because I wanted to be sure we got something delivered during this terrible winter.

My daughter uses these all winter long working in the barn with horses! They are perfect for her hands and boots.

Works for more than 8 hours. Also, you can extend the life of the Warmers, if your need for them is interrupted, by storing them in a small zip lock plastic bag. Remember to squeeze out all of the air before sealing the zip lock bag. Without available air inside the sealed bag, the chemical reaction is paused until you reopen the bag for continued use of the Warmer.

They do not get as hot as I thought when you hold them. However, if you follow the instructions and leave them in a pocket, they warm the pocket perfectly. I discovered this when I left them in my coat pocket after taking my coat off. Went to put the coat on and I could feel the warm areas in the coat. I would suggest you buy a few single packs before buying whole box.

Come in pack of twos unlike some hand warmers on Amazon that come in single packets.

My husband goes through these like crazy for his leg pain.. they do work for him for that. Uses them every single day

I play in a disk golf league. I use one during a round to keep my throwing hand warm. Depending on the course played and the number of players, it can take up to 3 and a half hours to finish a round. They easily last that long. I find them in my pocket, still warm but much cooler 10-12 hours after activating it by tearing open the plastic bag and mixing the contents by shaking the warming bag. It takes 10 to 20 minutes to get hot after cracking open the plastic bag. An occasional shake also helps keep them warm. Highly recommended. Note: these are air activated, so protect the plastic bag from accidental punctures or the hand warmer will not work correctly.

There is almost no heat generated from these little hotties, completely useless. A waste of money. The more expensive product Hot Hands really generates some heat

If like me you've tried lots of different handwarmers over the years you'll know that not all handwarmers are created equal. I've tried a couple of different brands and styles in the past and nearly always been left disappointed by the level of heat produced and the relatively short lifespan of some products. However the Little Hotties were a totally different experience. You get a total of 10 pairs, so 20 individual sachets altogether, and how long they last will depend on whether you use two at a time. Each sachet is individually wrapped which means that they will last longer if you're only using one at a time. When you open them up you find a small packet which contains loose gravel-like active material which produce an exothermic reaction when shaken and exposed to air. I was impressed to find that the packet began to feel warm almost immediately after shaking for a minute. It gradually warmed up over the next 10 minutes to the point where it was producing a pleasantly warm (although not 'hot') sensation against my hands when holding it. The effect was perfect, just taking enough of the edge off the cold to keep my hands warm and prevent them from cooling down to the level where I struggle to warm them up again. The trick with these sorts of warmers is to ensure that you start using them before you get too cold, especially for people like me with poor circulation. With one in each pocket I stayed perfectly warm for the hour or so we spent on a windy beach, and I was impressed to find that they were still almost as warm to the touch several hours later. I can't say whether or not they last the full 8 hours as advertised, but they do last significantly longer than any other similar style pocket warmer that I've tried. They are very lightweight and so you hardly notice them when carrying them. I now keep a few packets in the car as part of our winter emergency kit and always take them walking with me. They're also great for those cold bonfire night displays when you're not moving much for extended periods of time. My only note of caution is that the packets themselves are made of a paper-like material which doesn't appear particularly robust, so although I've had no problems to date I imagine it wouldn't take much to rip them, and would therefore advice using caution, especially if giving to younger people. They are absolutely great, however the 40 is not pairs is just one that lasts for 40 minutes.

Excellent product- my husband has had several brands and prefers these.
