Great Sprung Mechanism curatin pole, ideal for windows or shower
This review is for the incredibly easy to fit, versatile, sprung loaded Locking Mechanism Curtain PoleAs we move towards the dreaded winter, it was time to close over our conservatory door way, but we didn't want to be screwing into the wooden frame surround and want to leave the walls clear next year when the pole is taken downThis very simple sprung loaded pole is perfect, initially screw out the 2 pole sections a few inches wider than the frame opening, remove one of the rubber padded end stops, feed the pole trough your curtains (eye-hole or ring top are the best), refit the end stop, place the end stop against the door frame opening, push the 2 poles together (pushing against the internal spring) and finally locate the other end stop on the opposite door frame. The principle applies to shower curtainsBeing spring loaded means it can be taken down or moved without leaving support brackets or unsightly screwsThe pole I chose has a minimum space of 1.05m (105cm) and can unscrew to a maximum of 1.90m (190cm), can hold up to 11kg (the shorter the pole is set, the stronger it will support), and made from 22mm diameter 304 Stainless Steel means it'll retains its lovely polished silver finish, even in damp bathroom environmentsThe seller also mentions the pole set can be used as support rails or clothes hanging in a wardrobeAt £16.99 (at time of writing), this offers good value for a versatile support pole that is sure to last for years

Easy to fit and looks good
I use this in the shower and even over a 175cm gap it fits and stays in place even when the kids pull the shower curtain back and forth. I'd say it's more "stainless steel look" than actual stainless steel. This was easy to fit, simply twist the rail to lock it and then put it in place. The rubber pads on the ends hold fast and stay put on tiles and painted surfaces.

Easy to fit and stays in place
I'm a big fan of tension poles and have several and this is a good one.Extending between 105 and 190 cm, it's lightweight chrome-coloured stainless steel, but has a max load of 11 kg, so will be fine with then vast majority of full length lounge or bedroom curtains, or even as a rail in a wardrobe. It's easy to fit by unscrewing to just over your required length and then using the spring-loaded mechanism inside to push up onto your wall. With the rubber pads on the ends of the rail, you won't damage the surface of your wall and it will hold on any surface: brick through to glass, which makes it extremely versatile.I would say that with these tension poles that you're best not extending it any more than a few centimetres less than the maximum length it will go to because that way you'll have no problems with load. The steel tube has an outer diameter of 22 mm, so good for most eyelet curtains and it's anti rust/corrosion, so if you wanted it for a shower curtain, you'd be fine.At the moment, this pole is dealing with a curtain in the hallway, but it's such a nice finish, I might yet move it into one of the bedrooms.I have no reason to think this won't continue holding the curtains in place because it hasn't moved or slipped since it's been up, so I'm happy with it. Good value too for the load capacity and length. Recommended.

No-Drill Curtain Solution, Sturdy and Reliable
No more drilling holes or worrying about damaging tiles; this rod simply expands and locks securely in place, providing a sturdy support for my shower curtain. It's also incredibly versatile, adjusting to fit various spaces from doorways to closets. The stainless steel construction feels robust and durable, and it's held up perfectly in the humid bathroom environment, showing no signs of rust or corrosion. The rubber ends grip firmly onto the walls, preventing any slipping or sliding, even with a heavy curtain.I was pleasantly surprised by how much weight this rod can hold. It's supported a thick shower curtain and even a few hanging toiletry bags without any issues. The telescopic design makes it easy to adjust the length, and it stays firmly in place once locked.

A must have item around the house
Tension RodA tension rod can be useful for a lot of things around the home, not just for the shower. We needed one to use in our outside storage area to get ready for the colder, more rainy days to hang some washing before needing to use the drying rack all day. This tension rod arrives in a rather large box, protected even more so inside a cardboard tube, there’s absolutely no chance of receiving this item damaged due to the thoughtful packaging. It comes with instructions, but you don’t really need to use them, it’s a very simple concept, simply twist the ends until it has reached the desired length. The chrome finish is very smart and has rubber ends so it’s not going to cause any damage to the walls. Brilliant that you do not need any tools to install one of these rods, and can literally be up and ready to use in seconds. As always, I have added a few photos to this review which I hope you find helpful.

Excellent multi-purpose rail.
Such a convenient and easy to put up well-made, light-weight metal pole.Coming as a single piece that you simply twist to lengthen, the ends having solid 'caps', held in place by their natural pressure adhesion when in situ. Nothing to assemble, no tools needed.Wouldn't call it a spring tension rod, it doesn't seem to hold by pressing the ends in but rather just on the twist action and 'wedging' the ends where needed. Seems secure. I wouldn't over extend it past the recommended maximum, which is less than the full product length.I initially wanted it for a back door curtain however even at the minimal length it was too wide. Opted to use it as a curtain rail in a home office attic room with a dormer window. Slipped on some lightweight eyelet curtains, almost instant window dressing!Very pleased with this multipurpose rail.
