Well, I am impressed. The outer layer of the mug is actually divided into two pieces, upper and lower; you can see the wavy dividing line on the product image. This is because the bottom of the mug has a large suction cup (not terribly powerful, but definitely sufficient for the task) that does indeed keep the mug from turning over--and the bottom section of the mug is attached to the suction cup. However, when you grab the top part of the mug and lift, it's just as if there were no suction cup; it lifts with ease. Dexam, let me know if you ever decrease the price on these--I can think of several folks who would enjoy these as gifts.

The bottom is very short to make a good contact when the surface is a little dirty, it just don't arrange.

So disappointed. This mug does NOT stick very well. Works about 5% of the time. I will be returning it. Save your money.

The lip on the black cover broke off after using one time.

It stays in place no doubt but it doesn't keep the coffee hot so long.

Sweet idea. it really suction cups to a flat surface and it's hard to nudge it over! obviously you can punch it to knock it over but it works great. I like the mouth opening, easy and clean to drink from. Keeps my contents warm for a couple hours. Cool gift idea.

It really doesn't fall over. You must try it to believe it. Bed, Bath, and Beyond has a much better price.The pros:- It really won't fall over.- It is leakproof. (I wouldn't toss it in a backpack but I've had it turned upside down and it didn't spill a drop.The cons:- Here's the reason for the 4 stars... It doesn't keep my coffee hot for very long. The insulation is awful. There is a stainless steel version of the mug that I believe would better insulate its contents but the grip doesn't work nearly as well.- The silicone base. It's what keeps the mug upright but if you get anything on the base at all (crumbs, in my house - cat hair, etc) it will not form a suction. You have to keep the base clean. I had 1 cat hair on mine and it would not suction until I got that 1 cat hair off the base.- Not microwave safe. So, if you try to put it in the microwave, I guess you blow your chance at a replacement. But, I have put mine in the microwave and used a lower power setting. I suspect the reason the company, Dexam, won't give its blessing to microwave use is due to the silicone base. I decided to take my chances and I have been using mine in the microwave but I use a lower setting. So far, so good. So maybe a lower power setting is the key.All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. I'd give it 5 stars if it would keep my coffee warm for longer than 30 minutes.

I've been using this flask at work for a week now, and I'm really happy with it. It is, indeed, tip-proof when you accidentally knock it (as I have a habit of doing), but only if the base is clean and on a flat surface - any dirt or crumbs on the base will stop the tip-proof system from working.The flask itself has also kept my tea warm for up to 1.5hrs - 2hrs after brewing. Make sure the lid is screwed on tightly though to prevent leaking.
