One of the best in class for a very decent price
Comparing against a JBL Charge 6. I'd give it a 4.5. I'll start with the negative, this is not a smart speaker, the connectivity is not the best, but it's ok, there's no app with the equalizer, just a preset. Charge 6 does connect to several devices simultaneously and can play pause from any of them, also has a 6 way equalizer in the app. That's all that's wrong with it. The advantages, in terms of sound quality, S8 Pro Max is in an upper class, they aren't in the same league. After you get used to S8 Pro Max, Charge 6 sounds muddy without crispness or clarity. That's all you have to know. Both have amazing design fit for their particular purpose. I'm surprised it's that much cheaper.

A very good buy
Bought this from reading reviews and I dont regret it at all. Clear crisp sound, deep bass and not loud, connects seamlessly and keeps powered up for an incredibly long time. It also looks nice and sleek so overall worth the cost.

Hi-fi tuning sound quality...
I couldn't listen to a high volume...but its highly refined tuning is just mind blowing. More like a hi-fi Bluetooth speaker than just a boombox for blasting tracks. Played many tracks among them a good old track, Les Djinns by Djuma Soundsystem and just wow. Robust build quality...with four nice rubber pads to keep it steady in place. For 129 pounds after applying the voucher I consider it a steal based on the power and sound quality offered. Update after 14 months: taken one start away because the speaker is very bass heavy and distorts a lot at higher volume from the passive radiators...you can hear the buzzing. A bass button would be very useful. Shame

It worked perfect till decided to explode
I bought this BOGASING S8 Pro Max Bluetooth speaker in September 2024. Today (25 Feb 2026) it nearly killed me. For all this time it worked perfect at home, but suddenly, while in normal use, the lithium battery failed catastrophically. The speaker suddenly made loud BANG and started producing MASSIVE amounts of thick toxic smoke that filled my entire flat within seconds. There is black soot everywhere on my table and surfaces. I was terrified - had to grab it while coughing and rush it to the balcony. This could easily have been a full house fire. Amazon correctly gave me full refund. NO OTHER REPORTS YET, hope it was just back luck, but better to be aware.

Quality Powerful Speaker
Easy to set up, a rich powerful sound especially in bass mode, great value for the price. It is well made and feels and looks like a quality item. If you play it on full volume it will need recharging maybe after 5 hours but it is easy to charge and doesn't take too long

Nice sound… but.
I am happy with the quality of sound and build quality. However pairing is not good. If you want to pair a 2nd device, you have to forget the device you are on and go through the pairing process again. I suppose if you only intend to use your phone or iPad it’s ok. I want to use it for my iPad as well , so it’s a bit laborious.

Incredible Sound
When it comes to Bluetooth Speakers, I have tried many, even by the top brands Bose & Sonos. I don't usually pay much attention to people's reviews, as I like to form my own opinion. But I though that I would give this Bogasing S8Pro Max a go & wow, what a big surprise. From the moment I took it out of the box, saw the quality of design & it's hefty weight, I knew this speaker would be good & I was correct. The sound is remarkable for such a small unit, but with its many speakers & two passive radiators, it pumps up power to top any decent Hi-Fi. In 3d mode, it's fantastic, so much so, that I intend to purchase another one, as two can be paired & just simply sit back & enjoy amazing sound. Anybody who doesn't buy one of these, or even two, needs their heads seen to!

awesome basshead speaker
very solid bass for a speaker this small, especially if u compare it to the JBL xtreme 3, clarity and wide soundstage. this was a hard choice between the s8 pro max and the soundcore motion x600. the soundcore has zero bass compared to this. but since it has a upfiring driver + LDAC support it has more clarity but i wanted that bass. only downside is that 200 is a little too much for a speaker this size

Fantastica!!!
