Got slowest init of any sata device I've used .. but it's only 4-5 seconds.
The best nvme to sata converter I've used. You'll probably want L cables to go with it but they're not necessary. Works on linux thought it has a slow boot system. Great way to give yourself some SATA ports on a slim PC with none or very few.

works but you cant boot from it and data transfers can fluctuate.
this works as expected. it doesn't need any special drivers. i just plugged it into a windows 11 pc and windows installed the drivers for it. you cant boot from any drive connected to it but if you want to expand the number of sata ports on your pc, this will do the job. in terms of performance, I ran crystal disk and it reports 500MB/s on connected devices. I did find when transferring files (20GB of video files) between connected sata drives that the speed would fluctuate between 20-400MB/s. On my other PC, the same data moves across at a steady 500MB/s

I plugged it and it played! Does what it says on the tin.
After upgrading to an ASUS X870 Gamer Wifi mobo, part of my solution to become Win11 compatible, I was disappointed to discover I only had 2 SATA connectors. My past set up had 4 SATA drives (one OS and 3 with media and random stuff on), plus a SATA connected BluRay drive. I did buy a PCI-E to SATA adaptor, which I could not get to work. I work in IT as a technician, so I'm not a complete noob, just nothing would get it to show in the OS. I'm pretty new to M2 and was a little dubious to experiment with peripherals attached to these ports, but I have to say it was easy enough to install and worked right off the bat. The very definition of "plug and play"! My only real other option to have the media online was to buy a 4Tb M2 drive and transfer it all to that. With those drives retailing at around £400, this was definitely the option that made more economical sense! Highly recommended for adding disk on a budget, especially if you have the old disks laying around already!

Great Little Board
A great little board for adding extra disk I/O for fast transfer speeds. Seems to work well.

Works as advertised
Comes with firmware that supports Runtime PM out of the box. There is newer firmware on Station-drivers if you need it.

Robust, and well made, very happy
The product is robust, not like some youtube reviews I have seen. The PCB is strengthened by two layers and the SATA sockets are formly fixed. Although I would still recommend fitted the cables prior to fitting it intothe slot to minimise any movement of the cables. The board is PCIe v3 2 lanes and was detected without issue by FreeNAS scale
