This is a great nightlight. Not too bright, and not too dim, although you can also adjust the brightness. I agree with another feedback about the colors not always matching the color on the buttons. But overall I really like it and my favorite is the fade mode. The smooth isn't all the "smooth" on mine. Well, it is for most colors, but it only touches on the red VERY briefly, So briefly that it lasts maybe 1/4 of a second. And only about 1/2 second on the orange. I like the strobe option too. I also like to set it on just one color for all night. The turquoise is my favorite. All in all, it's working well, even though I've only had it a week, and can't comment on the longevity. The only complaint really is that "smooth" mode on mine isn't smooth with all colors. Swirling colors would be nice too, but it doesn't offer this feature. It's a very attractive nightlight, and even though I'm an adult, I don't like waking up to a very dark room. This light does the trick and I certainly would buy it again!May 25th, 2017Well, I've only had the nightlight for six months now, and it has stopped working! It flickered a few times, but won't stay on. I've had it plugged in, haven't even used the batteries. I checked the connection to both the globe and the wall socket, and that is not the problem. I paid $25 for this nightlight, and I expected it to last longer than six months! Very disappointed,and am changing my rating.How embarrassing! I am changing my rating yet again because, dummy me, I didn't realize I needed to change batteries in the remote! Went ahead and bought one, put it in, and it still didn't work. So . . . hubby checked the cord that plugs into the globe itself and it was rusted! My fault-AGAIN. I'd been misting my house plants that were on a plant stand above the globe, forgetting to move the globe to protect it. So after cleaning the rust out as best he could from both the plug in and INSIDE the plug-in within the globe, it's working again! Who knows for how long, since I probably did quite a bit of damage to it with the water. But in the future, when it does go out, I'll be buying this nightlight again, because the "issues" it had were all MY fault! I'm so sorry! And it gets 5 stars once again!

This is a great light. I like how tiny the stand is, so it's pretty much invisible depending on where you are in relation to the light. So if you're above it, such as my son in his bunk bed, it looks like a ball of light just floating off the surface it's on.It's packaged in styrofoam molds, so it's pretty well protected from anything but actual crushing.Remote works well from outside his room, so I can turn it off as I walk past after he's sleeping.We run it at the lowest brightness since that gives enough ambient light at night for him, without being too bright.I had expected him to prefer one of the modes for changing, but he really prefers one of the blue colors, even though red is his favorite color. But the walls in his room are blue so it works well in there.For the price, it's great. The fact that it can run on batteries has no value to me since I'll just keep it plugged in, but the battery power may be needed for someone else, or for camping. It could actually be used as a source of light in a tent with battery power. Not as bright as some of the specific camping LED's, but it definitely would throw light in every direction.Well worth the price in my opinion.

This thing is so cool. I really thought it might have been a piece of junk, but I took a chance and am very glad that I did. The light is lets off is perfection. Many many color choices, and while not every single extra function works (I'm sure they use the same remote for other products they make as well), this thing is a must have if you're tired of plug in night lights etc for your kids. This thing on top of the dresser is absolutely perfect to soothe a kid going to bed. I've laughed at other not so perfect reviews for this product....a couple examples: 1. the colors are not exactly as they show on the remote. Seriously? Are you really that particular? Do you take your Big Mac back up to the counter at mcD's because it doesn't look like the example in the picture? Get a life. 2. I dropped it on the ground and it shattered into pieces, not safe for a kid! Seriously? As an adult, when you pull this thing out of the box it is obvious that the globe is real frosted glass. So, as an adult you can make a conscious choice to place it somewhere where a child won't reach it or damage it, or someplace where you as an adult won't knock it to the ground. Just like most things, just be careful. You probably have a mirror you bought at some store hanging on the wall that could fall at any moment if it were bumped right? Same concept. Buy this, enjoy its features, vivid colors and various options available with the remote.

I bought this lamp as a replacement for a similar globe-shaped, color-changing, remote-controlled LED lamp that broke. The previous lamp was perfect in every way, and I was devastated to find that it was no longer in production. After scouring every corner of the internet, I arrived at this product, deeming it the closest match. While it is a good product that does everything it sets out to do, it is not as good as the lamp it replaced. If you're considering this product, the most important detail to understand is that this IS NOT a lamp in the traditional sense; at most, it is a source of ambient mood lighting. My previous LED lamp got bright enough for bedside reading, while this one doesn't come close. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons:Pros: Compact size, quality craftsmanship, excellent nightlight, cool colors, portable and can be used for outdoor entertaining (with optional AAA batteries), low priceCons: "White" light setting is extremely blue, brightest setting is not enough for bedside reading, not a sufficient replacement for a bedside lampIn the end, this light will suffice for the time being, but I will ultimately replace it with a lamp that can give off brighter, whiter light at its maximum brightness.

I like a bit of ambient in the backdround when I sleep. This is great. Tons of colors! Tons of brightness levels & party settings as well!
