Skechers Men's Nampa-Groton Food Service Shoe

Update: Shoes have began to fall apart less than a month after purchase. Bottom tread of shoes falling off already. Do not buy!Looks great, feels great. Fits a little looser after breaking in period.

These shoes are painful to wear, as the top lip digs right into the front of my ankles and cuts off my circulation. I'm a cook at a restaurant and it's incredibly difficult to work quickly while wearing these shoes. The only reason I haven't returned them is that I'd gotten them dirty within the first hour of wearing them, and didn't have any spare shoes to switch to. I might even cut the top lip off completely since it's so inflexible. You've been warned, DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES.

That is not rally resistance shoes. I ‘am work in restaurant ware this shoes . Still fell slippery.Make me fail down sometimes

This shoe is comfortable but it’s terrible quality. I’ve bought 2 pairs of these and both have done this. The “leather” of the shoe starts to rip open. And if you work with oil and stuff like I do. It caused a rash on my foot from going through the open part of the leather. Plus the nonslip bottom started coming apart. Almost fell multiple times at work because of that. Don’t buy these shoes. They are a swing and miss.

Buying shoes for a cook is tough! For the extremely low price of these shoes, I was pleasantly surprised at their quality and had high hopes that they would function for even 6 months. He complained of the side ankle part irritating his skin, but dwelt with it and that was not a deal-breaker. What made these shoes an overall fail for us, is that 1 month into wearing them 6 nights a week, he came home with that unmistakable smell of stinky stinky feet. That has never happened before with any other shoes. I guess these ones don’t let the feet breathe. The last two nights we have had to do a foot bath with tea tree oil and scrubbing his feet to get rid of the smell. I promise it’s not a personal problem! He’s been working as a cook forever and this has never happened. Other reviews mentioned the same, so I believe it’s the shoes. Well, you get what you pay for, right? So I still give 3 stars bc they otherwise did the job, if only for a month...otherwise have not fallen apart or anything.

No dislikes what so ever. I work in the food serving business and we have non skid floors. Holding up better than I thought. Other shoes I tried in the past, the soles would grind away walking on those non skid floors. These are holding up pretty good so far!

Got these for my boyfriend for work. He’s been wearing them for all of 3 weeks and the tops of them are completely coming apart. The top layer is peeling off and now if he’s in the rain, his feet are soaked. They are comfortable, but not worth the money

I have ordered 7 Sketchers for Men Equalizer which are excellent for comfort. All my friends to whom I gave as gifts were all giving excellent compliments.I tried this Sketchers for Work-Men as an alternative not only for work but for formal occasion. It would have been excellent were not for the tongue of the shoes which is too tight and hurt the bridge of the feet even with socks. Besides the rim of the tongue is too hard and touches the lower part of the shin causing irritation and pain. I have to rest my feet every 30 minutes. I tried it for a week wearing the pair for 8 hours hoping it would loosen up and adjust to my feet. Decision -- this Sketcher Work-Men is not for me.Forget the formal occasion and forget the work, I am going back to my favorite Sketchers Men Equalizer which is very light, comfortable, decent for any occasion (work and formal) and lasted already for two good years and probably for another year. It has gone rough testing on a summer trip in Greece, rain and snow of Canada. I call it my-all-purpose-shoes.

Love them! They slip on and fit snugly the memory foam is amazing I’m on my feet all day and finally really make a difference. We highly recommend to anybody that works on their feet

I was looking for a reasonably priced slip on shoe for doing work around the house in. when I tried it on i noted it has very little support, which I thought was a fair trade because it is cheaper than most sketcher shoes. But its also quite low on the sides, and feels more like a slipper. You can't do anything in dirt or gravel or similar with them, it would make a mess of your socks and definitely get into the shoe.The worst part is after a few days of wear, the fabric/pad above the heal starting bunching up when I stopped using my hands to put the shoes on. I've seen this in other cheap shoes; it bunches down into a clump that now pushes against the back of your foot. It will wear fast in that spot but worse, can give you a blister. I mean, the main reason I get work slip ons is my hands are full. I definitely would not buy these again.

I have never ordered shoes here before - I wanted to replace a different style of Skechers that I already owned. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they fit. It was also a few dollars cheaper than my local store - so it was a win for me.

I am very hard on my footwear; especially the shoes I wear running my own fast food restaurant. These are great. It's been less then 6 months so hard to say what I can expect in a year, but so far so good
