Roborock Xiaomi Ultra Stronger Suction Self-Docking and Self-Charging Robotic Vacuum Cleaner with LDS Technology

Did loads of research as it’s our first robot hoover and we have just had wooden flooring installed throughout a 100sqm ground floor, having previously always had carpet. Couldn’t stand the ‘bits’ which collected on the floor sticking to mine and my kids feet. Kids are too young to wear socks on the floor yet as they are both under four and slip over when charging about. We also have 2 long hair cats and as our flooring is rustic style, I can’t really see their hairs on it like I could on carpet before.Anyway, I am a week in and I love it. It really does save a huge amount of time and you wouldn’t believe how much it collects after one full clean.I am just careful to lift up any wires before cleaning and clear the kids playroom.Still have my cordless for post meals (the baby drops a lot) and also for awkward bits that this one can’t reach - although I am surprised, there is not a lot.Goes up and down small steps.The bin is very easy to clean and is the brush.Not got any rugs yet but I will do and I’m confident it will cope by the way it goes up and down small bits of floor which are still unfinished.Tested it on carpet upstairs and it looks like it’s been freshly hoovered although there have been small collections of my cats hair which even my usual cordless hoover struggles with sometimes.Went for this as it was mid range price and couldn’t justify the other big brand which was £600+ for something we didn’t know we would use so much.The app is good. Not amazing but good and I like the scheduled times you can set for every day or whichever days you fancy. Or just set it when you want too.A happy customer! My new best friend ‘Bizzy Lizzy’.

It was delivered very fast. I have been using it for over a month now. I wanted to test it many times before I wrote a review. So far I have been very happy with the product. It really saved our lives. We are using it almost every day and our house is always clean thanks to this. It sometimes gets confused with locating the dock or gets stuck in a place. Once it had a problem with the sensors or the wifi I think, I had to reset it again. If you use it in the map saving(beta) mode, I think it gets around the house more easily. You can draw barriers or no-go zones in the app, if there are any places in your home that you don't want it to go. App is easy to use. Once you get used to it,you can easily control it. So far I'm happy with my product.

We used to have a much more expensive competitor’s robot vacuum before and threw it out because it cause constant problems. This little number is a delight in comparison. It cleans and mops well and the app with its barrier and no go options is easy to use.The water tank for mopping is quite limited but since it makes sense to rinse the mopping cloth regularly, it works just fine. We like that there is no camera (it has a laser sensor) but it remembers the layout of our flat and is quite systematic. We also like that it does not ‘bump’ obstructions like our previous one did, but senses and gently contours them instead. It is flat enough to go under the bed and kitchen units and emerged completely coated in fluff and dust the first few times, having found pockets of dirt we had clearly missed before. It does not replace our standard vacuum but is a great help keeping things clean and the mopping function is brilliant keeping dust down (we only have hard floors).

Our roborock is a life saver. My partner was sceptical about spending this much on a cleaning machine essentially but it really is great - we've had it for nearly a year now I think - still going strong! It lives under the sofa.There's a great facebook community based around roborock vacuums too which is an added bonus.The app has been updated meaning you can tell the robot to go to different rooms and use different maps (this is how we do upstairs and downstairs)You could probably get a more expensive robo hoover to make life even easier but this one really does everything I need it to.

Excellent mapping facility, more accurate than Iroomba 960. Very good battery life and easy to Zone clean. Mopping facility not as good as Proscenic 811G but will cover more areas without getting carpets wet as can assign barriers and no go areas easily. Looks smart and docks without issue even when not following the guidelines for placing dock (see photo). Persistent mapping function great as it adds as rooms become accessible and don't have to map entire house in one go. Needs ramp to get over 2cm door threshold and is stopped by magnetic strips like Iroomba and cheaper units so need to remove if doing whole house. Good price compared to Irobot and Neato (half price). Cleaning history good ad tells you when to replace filters or clean etc. Spares cheap and can use generic.

The product was shipped without a U.K. plug, hence only 4 stars so I am having to return it. However it did come charged so I was able to use it and it’s performance was very good on both hard floors and carpet. The vacuum did struggle with a rug that we have, but it did pick up everything you would expect from a vacuum. We didn’t try the mop function.Shame it has to go back, but I intend to replace it with another one.

Just try for the first time. The Roborock S5 appears to be very smart... very organised, logical rather than random moving. However, I am quite surprised and disappointed that the UK plug is not provided while the product is supposed to be available in the UK market. I thought this is supposed to be quite a common sense !

We are happy with the functions and clean of the vacuum, but mopping doesn't work for us. The first 2 uses were fine and after that no filter change or other trick works to fix the mopping. Only a single tiny line of water comes out, so essentially it is not able to mop anymore.
