I'm about 6'2" and the bike I ordered this for is pretty small. So before getting this I was having to bend over really far (anyway it seemed really far to me after doing it for 20 minutes) and it was a real pain in my back. As soon as I saw this I knew I had to give it a try. I ordered the extended version because I wanted it to be as high as possible. Assembly was really easy, assembling the bar consists of inserting two screws and locking in two spring clips. Then all I had to do was remove the nuts and washers from the rear wheel, install the bar over the axle, and reinstall the washers and nuts. I have the bar adjusted to it's maximum height and it's about just right for me. Even with the bars extended fully it's still feels sturdy and I have no problem keeping the bike upright even if the rider (small child) starts leaning hard to one side. It takes 5 minutes or less to remove the training wheels and install this bar or to remove the bar and reinstall the training wheels so it's easy to go back and forth between the two. Overall I'm happy with the way this product has been working. If you're doing balance training I recommend giving this a try.
