Does anyone own a soundbar and have used these underneath it to stop the reverberation?

No but if they isolate studio monitors, they would work for a sound bar too.

Hi, sorry ,I don’t own HS5’s but I doubt if they’re bigger than my Equator D5’s which they are a very good fit.

What do these do? Is it worth getting these? I live at home and i cant have loud music all the while especially in the evening.

They're mostly designed to reduce vibration and improve the clarity/sound reproduction of monitor speakers so you get as little distortion through the casing of the speaker as possible. They won't reduce the amount of sound that other people in your house can hear, for that you really need some kind of sound proofing material (which is also made of a kind of foam usually).

are these suitable for yamaha hs7?

I am not familiar with the Yamaha Speakers. I have Alesis & M-Audio Speakers for which the pads are fine. Why not simply check the base measurements of the speakers to see if they will fit on the pads (measurements). They work great for both my sets of speakers :)
