Great performance and value, terrible fit and installation.
Great cooling performance, especially for the price and how quiet it is. Quite fiddly to install, I imagine this will apply to most cases due to it’s sheer height - I only just fit the side back on my tower, and then only by not tightening it down fully. Not sure what the spikes on the top are for other than making it even harder to fit in your case. If it weren’t such a pain to install I’d remove it and grind them off. It’s not clear from the instructions but when installing on an Intel CPU I found I had to orient the adapter ring a specific way to get the latches down, but that might just have been me being weak and terrified of breaking my rig. The clips are so stiff I was convinced I was going to damage the CPU or motherboard. Would also highly recommend taking your mobo out and installing with it out of the case if you’re in any way accident prone or clumsy, would’ve been far easier that way.

Extremely satisfying performance :)
It works really great ! Thermal paste comes with it, and is enough for about 2 applications. Kept my Ryzen 5 1600 @4ghz at 72-73 under 100% load. I also slapped on the stock cooler fan i had on the back for some extra airflow ! And the RGB is addressable so thats nice, and my motherboard supports it. The installation was a bit hard, you need to apply some for on the actual metal clamp piece to install it, but once its done its stuck to the board very well. Id go for a Deepcool one but my case is too thin, and thats a pro too for thin cases. On the whole its a nice deal and definitely a bang for your buck :)

Really great cooler
Pros: I have Ryzen 5 2600 that was overclocked to 4Ghz. I got this cooler to drop temperatures from using the stock cooler the CPU came with. While gaming, my CPU would reach temps as high as 91C on the stock. With this cooler, the temps dropped to 61C maximum (30 degree difference!) and I'm sure I could lower it even more if I changed my fan curve.Cons: There is a lot of reviews out there complaining that it is very difficult to install the cooler (that they need to put an uncomfortable amount of pressure for the second bracket to snap into place. MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU TRY TO LATCH ON THE SECOND BRACKET YOU ARE PUSHING DOWN ON THE BRACKET ITSELF AND NOT THE ACTUAL COOLER'S BODY. If you do that, the bracket is very flexible and it will easily latch on when pushed down on. Unlike the actual cooler's body which will probably rip your motherboard in half if pushed on.Bottomline: Unbeatable price/performance. I wanted originally to get Evo 212 but it doesn't come with AM4 bracket so screw them.

Best low-profile cooler sold anywhere
So the Engine 27 is the product of Sandia Labs's boundary layer effect cooler, which uses metal in the fan to provide additional metal for heat dissipation. The boundary layer effect is very real. And the Engine 27 is proof of that. It's the lowest profile cooler of all time that can feasibly cool up to around 70-watts.Positives:* 25mm in height from base to top of the heat sink (shorter than 27mm).* It also uses air dynamic bearings, meaning there are no bearings to wear down over time.* More effective cooler than other sub 30mm coolers around.* Relatively quiet compared to similarly sized coolers.Negatives:* Expensive at $50.* Only cools up to around 70-watts.* Might not fit in some motherboards.* Intel only.Overall, it's the best cooler for super compact builds. I would have preferred a version that can cool up to a Haswell Core i5 (around 84-watts) for the entry level unit. 70-watts is kind of an arbitrary number because most processors are either 50, 65, 85, or 100 watts.

A good budget CPU cooler
A good budget CPU cooler, decreases my CPU Temp by 10 degrees. Make sure you set the Fan's RPM to full in BIOS Settings.
