A Good Replacement for the Nasty Plastic Jug
Overall I think this is a pretty good product and nice replacement for liquid detergent. Cleaning. I'd give it a 4 star on cleaning. I'm an archaeologist and my work clothes get pretty darn gross. It's awesome that the no mess factor of sheets makes this a lot easier to take with me on my projects to use in the hotels, but it doesn't quiet do the deep clean I'm use to with my previous liquid detergent. I do have to double the sheets to get a decent clean on my worst loads and still might have some minor spotting/staining that probably needs spot treatment. Overall, for normal cleaning needs it works great, (my mom is using this now too and approves) but for deeper cleaning you might want to spot treat your fabrics first. Use. Super darn easy. I love the fact that this is a no spill, no mess option. My teen boys do their own laundry now and man, just not having to clean up spills or hunt the container lid makes this so worth while. You will have to play around with the amount of sheets you need based on soiling and washing machine size, but otherwise even a teen boy can use this stuff! Smell. The scent is pretty mild which is a plus in my book. I'm not big on scents and my father, an asthmatic, can't really have strong scented clothes. The mild scent makes me really happy, but for some of you I know you prefer your clean clothes smelling... like something. Shipping and Box. Lack of plastic packaging is the reason I tried this in the first place. Because we don't have trash pick up where I live, resulting in me taking my garbage in to town, I have been seeking other methods of downsizing my garbage and plastic footprint. I honestly hate those nasty containers. I hate the drip and spill mess. I hate the risk that they may not make it into the recycling pool (many plastics we 'recycle' don't get recycled). I hate having to clean them out for recycling. I even question the chemical look of detergent even if that is just me being paranoid. Do they honestly have to put dyes in detergent?! I just hate all of that. So to have this type of detergent with out the plastic, mess and a recyclable box that takes up only a fraction of room in my bin.... I know I sound like the spokes person to a green tree hugging commercial here but, I really appreciate this detergent option. Cost. So I've found that yes, it can be more costly with out necessarily the deep wash impact my old liquid detergent does. However, I make up for that with the other benefits. For me, it comes out in the 'wash'. I've been using it for over a year and the additional minute cost difference is that, minute. I personally feel its a good trade off. I'd recommend trying it and judging for yourself like I suggested to my mom who now is a fan and a customer as well.

Works well if you put it in the liquid detergent drawer.
I got these because I was tired of the plastic waste from liquid detergents. At first it was frustrating because they would clump and stick to my clothes, but now I rip it into little pieces and put it in the little drawer for the liquid detergent and that works very well.

Does not dissolve properly in cold water. Is Scent Free and does decent job cleaning.
Scent Free and convenient packaging. However, perhaps I used too many sheets in my extra large load. Or maybe it doesn't dissolve in cold water. Each time I've used these sheets, there is residue on the tub of machine. (See Pic)

What a pleasant surprise ....
I bought this in June, chose the "fragrance free" variety. I have sensitive skin, suffer from allergies, am very sensitive to fragrances/perfumes, all of which influence what I use for laundry products. I wanted to try these in an effort to cut down on empty plastic laundry detergent bottle waste, & also this is a much smaller item to store in the cabinet than a big 100-ounce plus bottle of laundry detergent. If you have issues with hand strength (or rheumatoid arthritis), these are perfect for you as they are light as a feather. I went into this not knowing what to expect. I've always used dry powder (years back) & then switched to liquid detergent as the dry didn't always dissolve leaving some loads with dry product stuck to your laundry. I do not use the pods as both my appliance repair guy & plumber both said to not use them as they do not break down completely in the washer & they can buildup & eventually clog your pipes (have a family member who did use only pods & has had the repair guy out multiple times to clear out the clog & he told them to quit using pods & once they did, no more problems). These dissolved easily and the usage instructions (1 for medium load, 2 for large load...) have been spot on for me. These truly are "fragrance free", I can't detect a scent, not even my fabric softener scent, after washing & drying. Everything comes out fresh smelling & completely clean. These would be super handy to travel with, as they would add virtually no additional weight to the bag you put them in, & they do really dissolve easily. They are suited to both machine & hand washing. I'm sold. I have one more bottle of liquid detergent to use up, then I'm switching to these. Summary: Pros: 1. no more empty plastic bottle waste. 2. minimal storage space needed for these detergent sheets 3. accurate usage suggestions, you get the same amount you need each time you use them 4. relatively inexpensive 5. "fragrance free" really is "fragrance free" 6. super travel and dorm room friendly 7. perfect for anyone with hand mobility issues (carpal tunnel, tendonitis, rheumatoid arthritis...) as they are light & the box of sheets weighs next to nothing Cons: none that I can think of. Pick up a box & see what you think. I'm confident you won't be disappointed!

Leaves a residue that glues itself to your clothes
When I first started using these a few years ago they were wonderful. I've always washed in cold water and these dissolved perfectly. Sometimes I noticed that I still had odors in my clothes so I added borax to heavier loads. The past couple of boxes that I have purchased, and I have to say I'm a single person, my laundry needs are met for an entire year with one box I believe, I have found a residue that seems glued to the fabrics. At first I was under the belief that it was only items that went in the dryer but that is not true. And I was ripping my clothing trying to get these embedded, what seemed like plastic, out of my clothes. I just recently found out that if I run it under hot water, this dissolves and goes away. I will no longer be buying these because that is too much work.
