Very organized & helpful in learning Spanish. Easy to understand as an adult learner.

This book is great for those who understand a good amount of Spanish but struggle to put sentences together. That’s me. I love how each chapter works off the previous one to reinforce information you learned prior. The book explains grammatical concepts in a way that’s easy to understand and gives good tips so you don’t get tripped up when speaking. The lessons are super approachable regardless of where you’re at in your learning journey and easy to keep up with every day.

I was hesitant to buy a book to learn a language, but this one really stood out to me because it comes with audio lessons/pronunciations, online flashcards for review, and a 30-day study plan to get you started. I have yet to really dive into this book, but from what I can see, it is very well organized and the way it’s laid out makes a lot of sense. I think this is going to help me learn faster than the app subscription I’ve been working with so far, because of how well explained everything is in this book and how I can see everything laid out in front of me, making it easy to flip back and review when I find myself wondering, “How does this word work again?” I’m really excited to dive in! :-)

Very good so far.

The logical progression of the book and simple explanation of grammar makes it easy to follow. However, the practices use words and phrases (often difficult) that you have not been introduced to yet. You would think that there would be some explanation or English translation to these phrases, but no. The answers at the back of the book do not help either, as they do not explain the WHY for the correct answers. It's like learning how to swim in a kiddie pool but once it's time to actually swim you are thrown into the ocean! As a result you are forced to look up the translation online yourself, which to me defeats the whole purpose of this book. Aside from this there are many errors along the way, including a full paragraph in Spanish on Indefinite Adjectives (see picture). And don't bother downloading the "bonus material". Really not worth it.
