Quality Hedge Trimmer
I bought this to replace a cheaper pole hedge trimmer that broke on the first use. This was more expensive but I have got other Bosch tools so I felt comfortable spending the extra. It is fairly light and easy to use in the vertical position when cutting tall hedges. It can feel a bit heavy if cutting short hedges where you hold it horizontally but this can but helped by using the enclosed shoulder strap.I have used it on a large privet hedge and it coped very well both on the sides and on the top. I have used it on a fir tree to cut overhanging branches upto the max thickness, it never jammed once. The battery was still working after 40 minutes. It comes with a 2.5ah battery but it also works with my Bosch drill battery which is 1.5ah so it is versatile. It comes with a 3yr warranty as well. Highly recommend this tool.

Weak strap clips
I really like this headge trimmer, quite simply it works very well with one exception, weak clips on the shoulder strap, one has as failed within a couple of months. As others have reviewed, it's a bit of a handful when fully extended, that said, I have found it to be a great versatile tool for the garden. The battery lasts well.Lubricate the cutting blade regularly, especially when trimming conifers (pine resin sticks and binds) and at the end of work for storage. One star removed purley for the weak clips.

Easy to assemble and does the job.
Was easy to assemble. Used it twice now on my conifers and it cuts really well. The small battery lasts a long time. It is quite heavy to use but the strap that comes with it helps when reaching to cut the tops of my trees. The head angles so no need to use a ladder. It takes a bit of strength to use. From my use so far I would recommend it.

Worth every penny!
I have a corded normal hedge trimmer and doing the hedges which are over 2m high and 1m deep in some place has been back braking and sometimes dangerous work that took up to 3hrs. Charged this new battery extended trimmer up in 30 minutes and spent two hours from front to back pulling the hedges right back after crazy growth recently. It cuts through thick branches but does need a few moments to get through. It's heavy enough on your arms after a while but the strap really helps. Recommend spending few minutes working out how to leverage the strap for each new cutting angle you will use. Also found it really handy to change the head angle plenty as I was able to cut all of the top and back side of hedges really well by changing it. I knew one of these would make life much easier and save all the bee stings I usually get whilst at the top of my ladder trying to reach tricky spots. No cable means you can walk around and check your work often without having to move cables that get tangled in the hedge. Extremely happy with what I read before buying to actual result using it. Highly recommend for those with tall or wide hedges that grow fast. It's hard work so do expect to need good upper body strength to use.

OK but top-heavy
Cuts very well but is extremely top-heavy. I suppose I should have realised from the pictures that the motor is at the top end of the pole rather than the bottom as it would be on a petrol-powered unit, but I find it quite difficult to use even with the shoulder strap. If the strap was made of some rubber-type material would help as that would stop it slipping all the time, but what I think it really needs is a counterweight at the handle.

Extremely disappointed 😔
I chose Bosch because I’ve always been very happy with the power tools I’ve had and have. I was so looking forward to these pole hedge trimmer’s arriving as I have been a bit unsteady up the ladders stretching out cutting my hedge the last couple of times. My box arrived already opened and a part fell out while still in the driver’s hands. After checking the contents it turned out the battery was missing and the charger cable in a mess looking like it had already been used. Book a return so ended up having to stay at home for ups to collect it as they don’t give any kind of collection time (waste of a day). The replacement one arrived 2 days later so had to stay home again as i had to give a code to the driver on delivery, this time things looked fine. I had been very much looking forward to cutting the hedge so Sunday morning i fully charged the battery and off I went and how disappointed I was as the blades moved slow and it was struggling to cut the hedge properly, it really struggled with the twigs on the privet hedge and even though my hedge was in need of its first cut it still looked in shape but by the time I had cut half it looked terrible plus a clip on the strap wouldn’t stay clipped so kept coming off, I gave up with them and boxed them back up to return so that’s another day wasted at home waiting for ups to collect. So back up the ladders and the electric hedge clippers and start from the beginning to straighten out the mess. I’ve always had Bosch power tools battery and cable and have always been very happy with them BUT these pole clippers have been a massive letdown and because of my experience I would not recommend them to anyone.I really shouldn’t say this but I’ve broken wind with more power than these cutters 🤣.👎👎👎👎😔
