Easy install for a 2018 Outback
My review is essentially the same as one by Brett, but for a 2018 Outback Premium. You DON’T have to remove the top overhead console even though all the YT videos show it being removed. You can remove the small trim piece between the mirror and console. This makes the install take minutes (& a few to get a good position of the dashcam).Take caution not to install it in the way of the EyeSight. Near the other light sensor is ideal.

Makes it much easier to install.
It is exactly as advertised. Very easy to install and with the youtube video as a tutor, literally took me all of about 10 minutes to install my dash cam. So much easier than trying to find an available circuit to jump into. I am not generous about giving out 5 stars but this earned it.

2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness
I got this to connect my VIOFO A119 mini to my 22 Outback wilderness and it was perfect. The product feels well made. The wires are shrink wrapped well and the connectors are all securely attached. There’s an adhesive pad on the side of the USB port that sticks well to prevent that module from dangling. This also came with three cables, I ended up using the USB Type A to Type C for my dash cam. The cables that came with my cam were either too long or too short.Install was a breeze:1) remove the plastic trim piece between the overhead console and the auto-dimming rear view mirror.2) unplug the rear view mirror3) plug the Dongar dongle into the mirror and then plug the original pigtail into the Dongar dongle.4) push the excess length of the original pigtail into the hole leading to the overhead console.5)replace the trim piece, routing your USB plug accordingly6) stick the USB plug where you’d like with the included adhesive pad7) plug in the dash camThe Dongar setup took me less than 5 minutes. It required zero tools and I did not need to remove any consoles or panels. The plastic trim between the mirror and console can be removed easily with your fingers.Note: this will only power your cam while your car is on. If you want parking mode then this isn’t the option for you.

perfection!!!
I wanted closer to mirror power for my radar detector in my 2024 Crosstrek and this did it.double check your pin count but this was EASY to install and only needed what was included and a heavier Phillips head screwdriver. VERY easy to install and now when I start my car the USB device powers right up. In my case I have a USB to RJ11 adapter cable I to this for my radar detector. No more long cable hanging from the windows and down center console. There was plenty of space inside the headliner to tuck the slack away for a nice install I can only see a foot and a half of cable now instead of having it all down the front and to rear of center console. I wish There was a longer one for door panels for some additional 12v power sockets but there are other companies that make those too. Subaru should have included more power sockets than 2 in the Crosstrek but this helped immensely for the front. I put a Y splitter on it and it powers up my USB iPad click wheel too.
