Easy to use
Video made it easy to assemble but I found the website hard to navigate. Easy to use, cut evenly. I didnโt have any waste from mistakes!

You Get What You Pay For
The RONGTER 24W Hot Wire Foam Cutter Table is NOT a table, it's a tiny little bench top tool that is very lightweight and slides around and there is nothing precision about it. I've done a lot of hotwiring and my guess is that in the videos the seller shows in their Amazon listing they used a thicker wire than what they include with the kit and a stronger spring in the base. If you're hoping to do a lot of hot wiring be prepared to modify and upgrade this tool. I was doing a Google search for a hot wire kit and came across this Amazon listing and I thought it was too good to be true and well turns out it is too good to be true... you get what you pay for in this case it's not much.

Cheap quality cutter
There is a reason that this sells for about 50% less than the top two brands of hotwire cutting tables. It's cheaply made and of cheap design. First off and my biggest beef was that the thumb nut for tightening down the wire spool was too long. You could not tighten it down to the point it stopped the wire from unspooling. I ended up adding a good-sized washer between the spool of wire and the thumb nut to hold it. (see photo) The circular gauge/cutting aid does not lie flat when you tighten its retaining screw against the fence guide. The desiccant pack under it in the photo is just for reference, so you can see how it sits (or rather doesn't). If you don't tighten it, it will lie flat. But then it wiggles around when you use it. I guess you are supposed to push down on it while rotating your foam to cut your circle? I'm also not too keen on the way the hotwire attaches on the bottom of the table. You get to tie it to a hook on the end of the spring. They couldn't provide you with some kind of clip or locking mechanism to hold the wire? The fence doesn't slide well in the cutout tracks because the sides are rough. However, it does heat up and cut foam just fine. The temp dial on the power cord clicks when you turn it to off and can be adjusted to a pretty high temp when set to max. At mid-range it went through XPS foam quickly and smoothly. The large plastic feet on the bottom can be unscrewed to adjust/level the table. Although, two of my feet turned rather roughly while the other two rotated smoothly. It does come with 2 spools of wire and the other items shown plus a zippered pouch for the extras. If you don't mind fiddling with things and aren't planning on doing any precise cutting, this might do for you. I'm just toying around, so for $75 I figure the Rongter is OK. But if you plan on doing a lot with foam, you probably should be looking at the Proxxon or Hercules instead.

Worked Until It Didn't After 2 Hours
I bought thinking to give it a chance. Upon initial setup and use, it wasn't too bad. The initial complaint I had upon first use was the sliding bar for measurement was not easy to move at all. Was always having to flip over the tool to undo screws to move. Did not make it easy. Outside of that, it was cutting foam with ease. About an hour into it, it stopped working. The AC adapter has a blue light and would be solid blue when you turned it on and had it plugged into the device. All the sudden, the blue light would flicker and it stopped working. I pulled it out of the device and it would go back to being solid blue. Couldn't get it to work again. Returned it.
