Great Sound in a Tough Little Speaker
The Bose SoundLink Flex 2nd Gen puts out surprisingly rich sound for its size, and it’s tough enough to handle outdoor use without feeling delicate. Bluetooth connects fast, the battery lasts a good while, and the speaker has that clear Bose tone that works for music, podcasts, or just background noise while you’re working outside. I was looking for something portable that still sounded full, and this one delivers. For the price, it’s a solid pick if you want good audio in a small, easy‑to‑carry package.

Best Bluetooth Speaker I've Ever Owned! Superior Bass Amazing Mid & Higher Range Audio
Best blue tooth speaker I've ever owned. Rivals my car stereo system (Bluetooth as well) which is also a Bose Soundsystem in my Hyundai Santa Fe. You can alter the predominance of sound in the app or on the device. Amazing dynamic range for such a small speaker system. I even like the response of the speaker to spoken audio tracks from Instagram or TikTok. Seems like it holds a charge forever. Of course the only improvement I'd make is a longer charging cord. But that seems to be the way of the world with shorter charging cables for everything. The first time I felt like I got my money's worth with this speaker's purchase. Virtually plug and play. As long as it's selling at a discount it makes it hard not to get another as a gift.

Love This!
This is easy to use. It's definitely worth the purchase and I'm happy with its size. It is functional and has sound power and volume. It pairs well with my MPC 3. Glad I bought this!

Perfect portable speaker
Perfect shower speaker, the bass is powerful and the audio is amazing in medium to small rooms. It is worth it and charge lasts about 5 hours. Would recommend!

Sounds good, great size.
Bought this Bose speaker to use in the bathroom while showering. Sounds pretty good, even over the sound of the water running. Doesn't crackle or sound frizzy and is really clear. Connects to Bluetooth devices seamlessly. Its a great size for a small bathroom because it's not big or bulky. Really appreciate the small, slim design. The battery lasts for a decent amount of time, considering it's size. On a full charge and being used daily for about 2 hours, we charge it once - MAYBE twice - a week. It will drain about 10% daily. We don't leave it on the charger when it's not in use. Charge it only when the battery is low. It won't take long to charge either. The volume is good for what we use it for. We don't try to blast it for the neighborhood to hear it but sounds good outdoors around a group of friends by the fire or for background tunes while having a card night with buddies. Even works well and sounds good in the garage while working with power tools. Would probably even be great on a river float. Very happy and satisfied with this little speaker.

Powerful, Personal, Portable Flex Speaker
The Bose SoundLink Flex 2nd Gen speaker is hands down my favorite bluetooth speaker, though I do own the latest Beats Pill and love it for its capabilities. At present, I own eight of these 2nd Gen Flex speakers, one in each color variant. I do find that audiobooks, podcasts and spoken content sound best on the 2nd Gen Flex. Most Music does as well. Some reviewers report sound differences between the color variants. After initially suspecting this and repeatedly comparing the identical audio on each speaker, I found that the most likely explanation is how one is holding the speaker when audio is playing, as the audio does change based on the position of the speaker. Features I would like to see in the 3rd Gen model include: Much longer battery life. The technology and capabilities exist. The speaker is so excellent that paying a little more for much longer battery life, perhaps double, would be worth it. Lossless ability. When connecting the latest Bose Ultra headphones and even the Beats Pill to my iPhone with the Usb C to Usb C cables, each offer lossless streaming. The ability to connect the Flex to a CD player or some other audio device via the cable. There are Usb C to 3.5mm male and female cables on the market and this would be nice as I still have a small Bose CD player and plenty of CDs. While there are bluetooth transmitters such as the AirFly which make connectivity possible, direct wired connectivity is still nice for some of us. A detachable strap. The Beats Pill and the most excellent Bose SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen both offer a detachable strap. This would be a nice option for the Flex in the future. Pairing four Flex speakers in surround sound mode. While two Flex speakers are great in stereo, pairing four for surround sound would be next level great. The ability to change the volume of the obnoxious sounds the Flex puts out. I do like these sounds, particularly when the speaker connects to bluetooth. However, these are way too loud. The Beats Pill has the option of controlling the volume of its sounds. The same is true for the voice prompts. While some of the voice prompts can be disabled in the app, the volume cannot be changed. Even without these potential additions to a 3rd Gen Flex, this existing 2nd Gen Flex is a phenomenal bluetooth speaker that serves many purposes. The Alpine Sage color variant has been discontinued, as it was limited. However, the existing color options are excellent, particularly the Twilight Blue. Although the Flex and Beats Pill are both excellent and come down to personal preference when selecting one or the other, I would also go with the Flex if I did not have the luxury of owning both. In fact, I would go with the Flex over any other, even if it has yet to fulfill all its potential, which with the suggestions I mentioned for the 3rd Gen Flex, it would be an untouchable speaker. Highly recommend the 2nd Gen Flex to all reading this.

Review from a Bose Fan
Note to Amazon: This is a different product than the Bose Soundlink Plus which I've reviewed also, not the same product. I have been a Bose fan for a long time and still use my Roommate speakers, now with a Bluetooth receiver. My Chromebook speakers need help, and a Bluetooth speaker is the solution I chose, trying, first with the Bose Plus model which does not work at all with Chromebook. The Flex stays connected to the laptop when the speaker is moved from room to room. The few times I've used it on the battery, it has used about half the battery in about 2 hours of listening with the volume moderately high. Although the sound is excellent overall at the highs and midrange, the bass is too deep or muddy, and has an echo quality. The official Bose equalizer app only works with selected devices, such as Android and Apple, not with Chromebook. Depending on how you use this speaker, you may want to get a USB C to A charging cord. I keep it plugged in near my laptop, and learned that on a C to C cord and C block, the unit will not refill without replugging it, but with a C to A cord and A block, it recharges as it is used.

Bought as a gift she LOVED IT!
The sound is great and known to be a great brand. The price is a bit steep for me but if u r going to take care of it it is worth it. Haven't had it long so I can't say if there's other issues with it but after 2 weeks everything is great! My 26 yr old niece loves it!
