BOSE IS THE BEST BLUETOOTH OUT THERE.
This speaker was made for pretty rough treatment as far as sound equipment goes. It is sealed well enough to rate a waterproof reputation that we recognize as really water resistant to the point it floats. Anyway, the unit is covered with some kind of silicone sealant rendering it impervious to dust and water. I purchased three bluetooth speakers before I found one that would hold the source signal. The other three speakers could not maintain a connection, and all three were top manufacturers of speakers. The BOSE Soundlink flex has been running for over 72 hours intermittently without a hitch, while the others were dropping signals almost out of the box. The price was $160, but they had a special on "Blue Dusk" for some reason so I passed on my usual Black and saved $40. Performance: They stated a complete charge takes 4-5 hours. My speaker was dead when I opened it, but it charged in less than 2 hours. The volume is more than adequate for a speaker this size and does not distort until it nears 75%-80%. Good base response for voice or music. I thought I would use it for mostly podcasts, but my favorite Jazz also sounds GREAT! You get a voice prompt stating battery power whenever you power up, nice feature. Can also pair with 2nd speaker for STEREO! Whatever your lifestyle you can fit this speaker into it easily.

Great speaker!
Absolutely love this speaker! Its small but mighty with sound - I really enjoy listening to music (from symphonies to yacht rock!) The battery lasts long and the updated Bose app is much better than its predecessors. This speaker elevates my downtime at home and is also lightweight and portable.

Sounds good, great size.
Bought this Bose speaker to use in the bathroom while showering. Sounds pretty good, even over the sound of the water running. Doesn't crackle or sound frizzy and is really clear. Connects to Bluetooth devices seamlessly. Its a great size for a small bathroom because it's not big or bulky. Really appreciate the small, slim design. The battery lasts for a decent amount of time, considering it's size. On a full charge and being used daily for about 2 hours, we charge it once - MAYBE twice - a week. It will drain about 10% daily. We don't leave it on the charger when it's not in use. Charge it only when the battery is low. It won't take long to charge either. The volume is good for what we use it for. We don't try to blast it for the neighborhood to hear it but sounds good outdoors around a group of friends by the fire or for background tunes while having a card night with buddies. Even works well and sounds good in the garage while working with power tools. Would probably even be great on a river float. Very happy and satisfied with this little speaker.

Perfect portable speaker
Perfect shower speaker, the bass is powerful and the audio is amazing in medium to small rooms. It is worth it and charge lasts about 5 hours. Would recommend!

Best Speaker EVER
I ADORE this speaker! It helps to have an EQ to get your sound just right. I looked up this speaker on YouTube, especially 2nd generation and it really gets good kudos. But, really, it's SUPER GREAT. Not just because you can get it wet, pour sand over it and throw it around, but because it truly does feel well made. I took it out of the box and lifted it up and couldn't help but notice the WEIGHT. Heavier than I imagined, which I love because it isn't a plasticized version of a speaker. It isn't lightweight and cheap feeling. It has umph. When my partner and I were fixing up the EQ, we literally had to speak loudly over the sound. Got this through a 3rd party seller because they had the citrus color. I thought of getting white through Amazon. It was 100 bucks. But I REALLY wanted the citrus for 60 buckaroo more. Worth it, although any color you get you'll love because it's made so nice. I was gifted a JBL speaker. It was on my wish list. Not as good. No EQ and sounds basey and a bit muddy. Do not hesitate. This Bose speaker rocks. I got the case too. LOVE IT!

Best choice for indoor listening!
I bought the Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) to compare it directly against the JBL Flip 7 since they seem to be the two most popular speakers in this size category. For my ears, the Bose won. The biggest difference is the bass. The JBL has a little more punch in the mid-bass, but the Bose reaches noticeably deeper into the low end. It almost sounds like it has a tiny built-in subwoofer. That deeper bass gives music a fuller, richer sound that I really enjoy. Most of my listening is indoors in small to medium-sized rooms, and that's where the Bose really shines. Vocals are clear, instruments sound natural, and everything sounds balanced without being harsh. I found myself enjoying the music instead of focusing on what the speaker was doing. The JBL Flip 7 definitely has its strengths. It's smaller, lighter, looks better in my opinion, and is easier to throw into a backpack or even a bike bottle holder. It also projects a little better in larger rooms. If portability is your top priority, I completely understand choosing the JBL. For outdoor use, though, I don't think either speaker has enough low-end to really impress in wide-open spaces. Since the JBL's slight advantage in volume and projection wasn't enough to make a big difference outside, I preferred the Bose because it sounded so much better indoors. For reference, I came from an old Anker Soundcore Boost that finally gave up. Oddly enough, I still think the Soundcore Boost has more outright "thump" than either the JBL or the Bose. However, both of these speakers are much cleaner, clearer, and more refined overall. If your primary use is listening around the house, in the garage, on the patio, or in a small to medium-sized room, I think the Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) is the better-sounding speaker. If you need maximum portability for bike rides, hiking, or travel, the JBL Flip 7 may be the better fit. Neither speaker is bad, they're just tuned differently. For my listening preferences, the Bose was the easy winner, and it's the one I'm keeping.

Solid.
Solid purchase. About 1 month in since purchase. Pros: it’s compact, great sound quality, bass is a 4/5 and the battery life is great. It’s definitely bulky but that’s expected and there a decent heft to it which I like. It connects with my phone just fine. Cons: cord they give you is honestly short. This really isn’t much of a con cause I’m reaching but I can see why people don’t like the no-screen feature however, I personally like the fact the speaker states it’s battery life when you first turn it on.

Amazing audio quality
Absolutely amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This Bluetooth speaker is so powerful and easy to use. It’s compact yet provides amazing quality audio. I bought laptop and the audio was too low and this has changed the entire experience from average to perfection. Highly recommended. I bought the green and it’s gorgeous.
