Sturdy and beautiful bench!
After looking extensively for the perfect entryway bench, we finally found one! This shoe bench is perfect for holding a few shoes so you can eliminate the risk of falling over shoes laying around by your front door. The compartment inside the bench is handy to hold things that you want to store but have easy access to. It's perfect for gloves, hats, blankets, umbrellas, etc. The bench was easy to put together in under an hour. Very durable and the padded cushion is very nice as well. It's the perfect size for our space and we're very pleased with this purchase!

Stylish shoe storage
Fantastic shoe storage bench that plays double duty storing shoes while aesthetically pleasing. Solid construction and sturdy. Holds 6 pairs of shoes on shelves and a pair of boots with storage in the bench. Fairly easy directions and assembly in under an hour for one person.

Great construction, Great look, but.....
Ok, first off I want to say how solid, well-made, stylish, and perfect this bench is. I saw it, measured the space I wanted to put it in, and knew it was perfect to help my husband and I with our shoe pile. He was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and we had to replace most of his shoes. My feet have been hurting more and more lately, so I replaced most of mine as well. The storage is truly perfect.Building this bench was really straightforward and rather simple to put together. The holes seem to have pre-drilled almost perfectly. I legit had one piece that is a little cock-eyed, but it's not noticeable. No biggie for me. I did this all on my own in under an hour - that's with kids distracting and interrupting me.I suggest getting a ratcheting screwdriver and Allan wrench to save your hands and wrists - I have arthritis in my dominant hand/wrist due to a past bone break and the ratcheting tool saved me.Now for the *ONE* complaint I have (and why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5): The Styrofoam packing material was STUCK to the faux leather bench cushion. I had read only one other reviewer state this so I thought maybe it was a fluke. Nope. It was STUCK. After I peeled off the Styrofoam (came off in chunks), I first soaked it with Dawn Powerwash two separate times, scrubbing with a microfiber towel after each soak. I didn't see any improvement. Next, I used some 409 Degreaser I found in my cabinet (I don't have goo gone or anything like that) and used a slightly rougher scrubber. This did the trick, though it did take a lot of elbow grease. Honestly, it took me longer to clean off the cushion than it did to assemble the bench. The maker of this should rethink how they package the pieces.Anyways, after attaching the cushion (after I felt it looked "good enough"), I started putting our shoes in and on it and I'm very pleased. I was able to put multiple Hey Dude pairs plus sandles in the storage area under the lid, and 7 pairs of shoes on the shelves. Sitting on it, it feels very solid and I'm confident my husband would feel the same way about it.Overall, I highly recommended this, but be aware that you might get a cushion that you have spend over an hour cleaning. Take my advice and go with a good degrease first if this happens to you.

Pretty Handy
I really like this shoe rack. It is sturdy and not too wide taking up hallway space. It has decent room in the storage space too. I also like that if I want to in the future the seat cushions aren't permantly attached so I can switch it up if I choose. I got it because it shows boot space. .. well it's not for huge boots or maybe just one pair. I was able to get two pair of ankle boots facing opposite directions in that section. And it fits a good number of shoes and sneakers. The storage space has been taken over by reusable bags I can grab on my way out, my purse as I come through the door and the lysol for the spray down. LolThe assembly wasn't difficult just took a little extra time doing it alone but probably with another person would be a bit easier. The majority of the needed tools came with the parts so having a flat head or Phillips was a bonus for me. I'm happy with my purchase. I'd say a 4.5 rounded up.

Style, size, comfort and strength
Comfort and performance .This shoe bench fits perfectly for us and is well constructed for the price. It involves machine screws and dowels plus many wood screws. I put toothpicks and glue within each hole and then screwed in the screws. It’ll hold your bench together forever without ever loosening. The finish and the hardware are well done and constructed. My first one came to me damaged, and all though the company was a bit hard to get ahold of they did give me a brand new one within two weeks. It was a little bit of a wait but they did come through and I am just happy to have my new bench.

Cute, but LOTS of assembly required, and styrofoam stuck.
This is a cute and sturdy little bench, but took a long while to put together. Also, when it arrived there was a plank of Styrofoam packing material completely stuck to the pleather cushion, it took me about 30 minutes, goo gone, and a scrub brush to remove 95% of it. I almost returned it, but had already put the darned thing together and didn't want to quit at that point.
