I am always anxious when ordering a large amount of liquid items to be delivered as a leaky mess is not a fun thing to sort out. This set of 5 bottles of laundry liquid comes in a large box and inside that box is another box which contains the bottles. There are 5 bottles which is slighty odd as this means that there is a free space left in the box for some movement of the bottles during transit. Thankfully, all 5 bottles arrived without issues.Never used Surf before so it was going to be interesting to see how this compares with our current supermarket cheapo washing liquid. For the majority of cases our laundry just needs freshening up. There is the occasion when the kids nose will bleed onto bed sheets or clothes but we have an effective solution to remove this type of stain.What we have found with this liquid is that clothes come out feeling different to using our supermarket liquid. Hard to explain but if I say it feels squeaky clean then I hope this makes sense. Then there is the smell. This is subjective but again, compared with our current liquid that does not possess such a pleasant aroma, this liquid makes the washing come out the machine with this lovely fresh sent. In fact, this sent is spread around the house when we leave clothes to dry in the utility room. The sent then makes its way around the whole of the house which is welcoming.Price is spot on for the large amount you get so this would normally last a long time but we have to use the washing machine several times a week so this large bundle is handy to have.

I ordered the 5 x 1.62 bottles of surf liquid but only 2 have turned up. They both arrived on different days and there Has been no correspondence to tell me where the other 3 bottles are! I can’t use any in case I have to send the 2 bottles back for a refund.

Laundry washing liquid.This five pack comes packaged in a cardboard box that has perforated access points so that you can store the bottles that you are not using.For your pennies you get five bottles of Surf Tropical Lily washing liquid that is contained inside white plastic bottles. The bottles are sturdy, the lids tighten securely and nothing leaks.The labels state that each bottle will supply enough liquid for 60 washes which gives us a total of 300 washes in the entire pack. The liquid is white in colour and has roughly the same viscosity as washing up liquid. I don’t know what Tropical Lillies are supposed to smell like exactly but if the product description is accurate then they must smell quite nice because the detergent has a rich, flowery aroma that is strong without being pungent or overwhelming.One capful is enough for an average sized wash and I simply poured it into the drawer where I usually place the wash powder. I added the usual amount of fabric softener to the machine (I don’t know if this can be used without fabric softener and wasn’t willing to risk cardboard jeans so I basically did a normal wash but replaced the wash powder for this wash liquid) and set the washer for a 30 degree standard wash. Results were comparable to using wash powder and my clothes came out of the machine clean and without any sticky or unpleasant residue/smell.After drying, my clothes felt soft and smelled lovely from the combination of detergent and softener. I even popped some microfibre cloths into the wash that I’d used to detail my car and they came out as clean as new (They also cleaned my glasses without leaving any smearing, the ultimate test!), so I’m quite happy with this stuff and would recommend it for anyone looking to purchase a decent wash liquid.Me likey.

we often use whatever looks good on offer at them time, and so as you might expect we've used pretty much all brands of detergent that aren't overly expensive both powdered/tablet and liquid/pods. and as usual surf lives up to its top quality reputation. this one in particular has a very pleasant but not overpowering scent. the price per litre isnt quite as good as at some of the supermarkets so this bulk buy might not be quite as cost effective as first thought, however some supermarkets sell this same item in slightly different ml quantities so makes it a little difficult to compare with them all. the detergent washes our clothes perfectly, and leaves them fresh and soft and smelling very nice. the scent fills the room and adjacent rooms when hanging them up on the maiden, making the whole area smell fresh.

Wow these pack a smell so be careful where you store them. That said infuses the shed!Liquid washes well and good size bottles that last. Clothes come out with a initial scent that soon fades which is just as well.Packing at least in this experience was poor as one of the bottles had leaked leaving a right mess. That doubtless a one off as the bottles are strong enough.

We don't normally use Surf as we use the same brand we have been using for a number of years. This Surf got delivered without any breakage and the bottles are big. When tested on laundry they washed them really well with the bonus of a nice smelling aroma which wafts through the room.Do like the smell. Will definitely use again when there is a decent offer.Surf is a well established brand so expected it to be decent quality and it is.
