Quieter than a vacuum cleaner
The media could not be loaded. This compressor is incredibly quiet compared to every other compressor I have heard previously. I bought it for use in my garage with a 1 year-old sleeping upstairs and I’m happy to report that it doesn’t wake her and it doesn’t even bother me when it runs - even when the garage door is closed. The wheels and handle make it easy to move around. It has so far exceeded my expectations, especially in regards to noise. I haven’t specifically confirmed the 0 to 150psi compression time, but I would estimate it takes about two minutes, maybe three max.I have a couple very minor complaints about it, but it’s still well-worth the investment in my opinion.1. The on/off switch rattles when the compressor is on. I’ll probably put a little piece of foam in the gap to keep it from making noise.2. The manual states to never carry it by the large handle alone and to also hold the bottom of the tank when lifting the unit. It would be nice to have a small handle or ridge on the bottom of the tank to do this more easily. Again... minor.3. My final complaint (it’s a stretch to call it a complaint) is despite the oil-less engine design, it isn’t designed to sit on its side. It rolls perfectly under my workbench for storage but I had to put a 2x4 under the handle to keep the full weight of the unit off of the motor assembly. It would have been a huge win for me if it could also actually run in this sideways orientation, but it clearly wasn’t designed for this. I’m not surprised or upset, but it sure would have been convenient for my tight garage space. My usage will be mainly limited to tire inflations and blow gun use - and it is gloriously overkill for just those two jobs.Overall, I definitely recommend this compressor for the compact size, usability, and price.

Well made and very cost effective. Very quiet running...!
After a few years of having a Husky air compressor that I couldn't stand to turn on due to the sound, I bought one of these bad boys from my local Lowes store. I airs up nice and quick, and it's super quiet. I was shocked because I didn't think an air compressor could run so quietly! It's easy to use, and seems really beefy and durable. I'm not a professional trim carpenter, but I bought this for a whole house renovation job that I'm doing myself. It runs my nailers perfectly and doesn't seem to cycle all that often. Even if it does kick on, it's pleasant sounding. Not like other compressors that rattle your teeth out.

Wow
Like another reviewer's experience, I replaced my Husky with this and WOW, what a difference in noise reduction - yet same if not better specs than the husky for running all of the tools I need - I am not a daily user but sure is nice to not hear the compressor throughout the house when cycling. Product design, quality, and accuracy are excellent from my weekend warrior perspective.

Absolutely Love It!
This is my first experience with the Quiet Tech compressor and I am amazed at how quiet and smooth it operates. I have been using a Craftsman pancake compressor for 10+ years and this is sooo much nicer. Love it! 150psi is no problem for this compressor. Great for small projects that require a bit larger of a pneumatic tool and easily adjusts psi for smaller tools.

Cheaper and better than California's competing compressor
its quite. I bought a California compressor because I valued a quite compressor. The California went about 2 years of light use before I started having problems. The repairs were going to cost more that this compressor new. The pull handle is actually usable unlike California and its super quite. You won't be disappointed.

Quiet Noise level
I have purchased this unit at Lowe’s and no longer carried. My barber asked for recommendations and let him borrow mine. He asked for more info as he needed one for his home for his weekend hair cuts. Stated it was real quite and will be using mine till his arrives.

Not near as quiet as when new. Watch out! This one listed here is a refurb!
Quite noisy after 4 years of homeowner (retired contractor) light duty use. Loved it in the beginning, now it's nothing special noise wise. I suppose it is still quieter than the pancake unit I gave away when I bought this for $180. Read the small print for this ad . . . it's a refurbished unit. A compressor is not something I'd buy "refurbished".
