OK looking, weak hold
I thought these would be a dark wood. Actually they are a circle of light wood with a dark paint. The quilt is easy to install in the holders. After you screw the holders to the wall you simply unscrew the ball on top, insert the quilt and screw it back really tight. However, even screwed down as hard as I could, the strength of the hold is less than I expected: Think wooden cloths pin. It holds a thin, medium sized quilt, but the weight of the quilt threatens to pull the quilt free. It does fall out with a little movement or pressure. It might hold on the wall once firmly installed, but I lack confidence of this. To mount them requires screw holes in the wall. I am a bit hesitant to damage my wall with this performance so far. I have only tested the strength of the grip by dangling part of the quilt from the holder from my hand. I think these would work best for light, fluffy quilts or small quilts, not the lap blanket sized flat quilt that I got them for. I will update if I decide to install these on the wall, perhaps with a lighter quilt in a different location.
