Sevylor Alameda Premium Inflatable Canoe Kayak, Blue, One Size

Hi, just bought this item. First time I used it and the kayak is damaged. One of sides touched a slightly sharp edge and instantly the inner tube got flat while the external surface was unpicked. Please don't waste your time telling me about the pressure level as it was according to standards. Additionally don't mention how sharp this edge was, as this product is meant for outdoor activities like a slightly sharp stone.Also note that I never had the chance to put this Product (cannot call it kayak) in the water.Check for something else. Hope to read this before your purchase

Only had this canoe for a few days but managed to get out in it quite a few times. Bought due to convenience as no room for a rigid canoe. The bag that it comes in is simply superb. Roll top, paddle loops and drain plug and the back straps make it very comfortable once balanced to transport from the car to the water. The boat is very well constructed and the quality of canvas help to improve rigidity once inflated. Been out as two man crew with a couple of excited Jack Russell's. The seats are very comfortable but the back feels better when adjusted tight when you're in the boat. Tracking and gliding is very good for an inflatable but definitely more of a leisurely paddler than a rigid canoe. Paddle clearance is absolutely fine as some can seem a little wide which means you'd catch the ribs. I've only got 2 points to warm of so far. The Manometer that came with the boat I didn't check before our first use so inflated the kayak to the recommended 1.5p PSI and went out for a paddle. Had a great time but the next day when inflating it to dry it out I noticed that the Manometer zeroed out around 0.75PSI so our first outing had been successful with an under inflated boat! I managed to easily rectify this and the ribs are much firmer. The 2nd is more a point to look out for. In this current hot spell, drying the boat out is much easier. It helps to inflated the ribs to do this but under inflated as the air expands in the heat. The main boat canvas and underside dry out exceptionally well but it does trap water on the inside bottom of the main ribs. Deflating a bit but and trying to turn sections inside out definitely work but in bad weather drying this kayak out completely may be a different ball game, especially when stowed away in the bag. It could get a bit smelly or mouldy!! The main selling point for me has to be the convenience. The quality is superb, incredibly roomy with two paddlers, very light. The back pack bag means it now even opens up more possibilities when going on holiday. Rather than planning a dedicated paddling holiday you can pop it in the car just in case on a day out. More expensive kayaks boast a higher pressure boat but on inspection this doesn't seem much more than 0.5 PSI.... But I could be wrong. Great value for money, very comfortable and incredibly convenient. Hope you have fun if you get one.

I am really not impressed. Returning the kayak as it started leaking air somewhere next to the main valve on the second inflation attempt. On the first try my impression was great actually - kayak is quite easy to inflate and really stable up and down stream.

Great for a few months, but then started to develop leaks which are simply impossible to fix.

Fed up with this thing. It was ok for the first few outings but now seems to get a puncture really easily and it is a horrible design for mending as you can't actually remove the flotation bladder due to the three being glued together at the valve. It's a shame as the quality is otherwise quite good but this design makes it a nightmare to fix. I now hate it. Buy another brand.

I Bought one of these for my Husbands Birthday. We went in the sea the first time and it was brilliant. We dried it out and put it back in the bag. When we went to go out the following week we went to inflate it and noticed a lump in the middle of the floor. When we took it out two of the seams had become one. We contacted Sevylor and they sent a replacement. We went out twice with the new bladder for it to split on the same joint as before. We bought a new Bladder but this also has split at exactly the same point. All the reviews say the same thing that there is always a problem with the floor Bladder it is a real shame.

Il kayak è bello, comodo da gonfiare, un po' meno da riporre dopo averlo sgonfiato nell'apposita sacca. Bisogna inoltre fare attenzione a tenere sempre chiuso il tappo della parte inferiore del kayak perché altrimenti si riempie d acqua! Del resto direi che è un ottimo prodotto che va usato parecchio se si vuole ammortizzare il suo costo. Se lo si usa un paio di volte x stagione, tanto vale noleggiarne uno!

Il prodotto rispecchia la descrizione. Veramente semplice e veloce da gonfiare sgonfiare e trasportare.
