Plenty of flash power
A very affordable speed light with a guide number of 100 (feet not meter measured) light output. Instructions a bit cryptic, but you can work through it. I've used these units for over 30 shoots and they have never failed me. I did buy an extra knowing they are very cost effective, so I would have a backup. I tend to use them at 1/4 to 1/32nds output so I can shoot many photos in a row without a recharge delay.

Worst. Manual. Ever.
Have yet to put this unit on a camera and start testing it and fine tuning it BUT one of the things that's stopping me is the sheer unintelligibility of the on-line manual. The manual is not included with the flash so Sunpak instructs you to read it on-line. Once you start trying to make any sense of it, you will appreciate those companies who hire professional translators to convert their manuals from the native language to English. In point of fact, I wonder if Sunpak actually hired a translator or if they just ran the whole thing through Google Translate and then just passed it through without reading over it. This is a shame because I see that this flash has several sophisticated and useful functions BUT I'm going to have to play around with it in hopes of learning how to use them properly. Ruins what looks like an otherwise well built unit with a good display and a solid feel. Sunpak take heed!

Great value!
Unbeatable value for about $26.00. I had a Canon flash that was stolen, and didn't have the budget at the moment to spend another $500.00 or so to replace it, so when I saw this I didn't think twice about buying it. It occasionally misfired when I first tested it, but that problem seems to have gone away, and sometimes the exposures are incorrect, but it is a simple matter to dial in flash compensation. The published GN is also misleading, it would lead you to think this flash is much more powerful than it is. Overall, this was money well spent, and highly recommended if you want to go beyond your camera's built-in flash.

Stopped Working After Two Flashes
I purchased this flash for Nikon/Canon. I used it once about a year ago for family photos and went to use it again this year and it flashed just once and the LED went blank. The flash will not turn on at all. I've attempted different batteries and searched the internet for answers but no positive results. Since I purchased this over a year ago there is no warranty. I made this purchase from another source but now wish I would have paid more for a better flash and next time will buy an extended warranty.

Stopped working within 2 hours
This was my first flash ever, and although I love the functionality of it, and off camera flash, it stopped working within the first 2 hours of practicing with it around my house, so it never even made it on the field for me. I'd be weary of purchasing again.

Great Flash
This is my second one of this model. Saw this on Amazon and decided to buy it as a second unit. I think people shy away from it because the same unit fits Canon and Nikon. Both of mine have been flawless so far. I have had the first one for about two years. Great unit if you an still find them available.
