Brakes suck, but good bike for the price
We had a couple of issues with this bike. 1) the handle bar connection to the rest of the bike was difficult to attach. The mechanism is good, but you REALLY have to put pressure on it to get the top piece to hold on to the bottom. 2) the bow on the front is a little compartment that opens for them to put stuff inside. It's pretty much impossible for our daughter to do it without help. You have to coordinate three closing parts simultaneously to get it to shut all the way. I don't think she can even open it on her own. Poor design for toddlers. And 3) the worst part about this bike are the brakes. First, upon opening, one break was completely clamped down onto a tire in relaxed position, so we had to adjust that. But also, both the front and back brake lines just slip out... we ended up pulling the lines completely out. I wish they just didn't have hand brakes at all. Our 3 year old is not likely to figure it out on her own anyway. Overall, it's a decent bike for the price, considering the Minnie Mouse licensing. If you have the opportunity to get something else, though (our daughter was dead-set on wanting a Minnie Mouse bike), I would have gone with something else.

Instructions are borderline useless
Pros: The bike construction is fine.Cons: the instructions were lazily done by modeling instructions for a different style of bike.Huffy has been around here a long time. Since 1892. I haven't dealt with bike brakes before. I know nothing on calibration. This is a child's bike, and as such, I followed the instructions to the T for brake calibration for the safety of my child. The end result is stiff levers and brake pad rub.Huffy, what is the Phillips head screw within each brake lever for? What does the center nut between the calibers do? From researching other, more competent instructions from other companies, I've begun to piece it together. But this is YOUR product, which parents need to read to make sure their child can easily depress the brake lever so the wheels can lock and stop them from certain danger. Dedicate as many pages as needed to make this process:A. UnderstandableB. ComprehensiveC. Trouble-shootableOr deduct $50 off the price to compensate the parent getting the brakes done at a certified bike shop.Other notes:The bow-basket needs to be installed last for ease of use when adjusting brake levers. The all-plastic design makes it warp when tightened to the handlebars. It won't close properly, even if not overtightened. Genius. The instructions are generic for all bike types. That's not OK for a child's bike. Example: the instructions for attaching the steering bars to the bike frame was leagues different than for the kids bike. It took me a while to figure out how to secure the stem on my own as that my child didn't lose it while riding. There is no nut to tighten, per the instructions.Update: Both wheels were warped out of the box, which explains the brake rub.

Extremely Easy to Assemble
I pulled the bike out of the box thinking I had an hour of knuckle busting ahead of me. Ten minutes later I was inflating the tires and thoroughly confused on why all kids' bikes aren't that easy.

Giftable
Missing parts. Handlebars pull right out after following assembly directions. Tiny silver bin fell out at some point during assembly. The bow basket doesn't close correctly and I'm sure will only last a day or two. I have basket held closed with a rubber band at the moment. Was a surprise for my granddaughters birthday, what a flipping shame. Huffy has swallowed the kool-aid and screwed me.
