Older version? Not compatible with another Proaim Jr. Pan Tilt Head I have and lesser quality.
This is the second Proaim Jr. system I bought. However even though they look identical, the internal wiring is different (maybe other things too) and controllers are not compatible with each other. In addition his unit has significant performance loss when used at 100ft (jumpy pans), where as my other one works fine. I must have an older version even though there is no mention of it. Too bad I missed the return window.

Nice PT Head, a couple of issues.
For the money, this isn't a bad Pan/Tilt head. You have to accept the compromises you have to make to get a servo PT head at this price, though. It's noisy. If you're creeping along at a slow speed, it likely won't bother people, but I wouldn't try to move it fast during a church service... everyone will stare.I had an issue where the tilt mechanism was lose. Turns out one of the gears was iffy. I contacted ProAim in India and after a few emails back and forth, they sent me two complete gear sets with instructions. Decent customer service, it just takes time to get to the US from India. My big gripe is this... I bought a Bescor portable battery to run the head and the LCD monitor.... except when I went to hook it up I found that the male pins that ProAim uses on the Joystick are slightly too big to fit into an industry standard 4-pin female XLR. So I had to get Bescor to make me an adapter with slightly bigger female pins so I could use the battery.Even though there were a couple of hiccups, mentioned above, I disagree with some of the very negative reviews I've seen about this product. It's solid, does the job and for somewhere around $675 you really can't beat it.
