NokiaN6700 SIM-Free Mobile Phone - Chrome

Hadn't used a Nokia for years until I picked this up in the shops. It is well heavy for what you see. a weight that spelt " quality". music is good but not great, I think iPod still has the edge over this. But the Maps are soooo cool. you can download any map for use. I tried it out in Italy. Never been so I downloaded the maps, and when I got out there, it just worked. No messing No hassle. plus I could make calls and use the calculator. Just a great all round phone phone.Oh and very sexy to hold! oooo err.

This is a beautiful looking `phone which gets alot of admiration. It has a really good camera, producing very clear photographs and videos. And of course it is great for using as a `phone too!!! Being a Nokia, it has a very easy-to-follow menu, Web capability, can be used as an MP3 player/radio, all the usual clock/calander/stopwatch/calculator functions, easy to use keypad, clear speaker whether using handset or loudspeaker function,ETC.!...Only downside is that it is very shiny, therefore difficult to keep free from fingerprints!

I got a Nokia X6 as a "free" upgrade on a Vodafone contract and dropped it down the toilet "Windows phone" style. I think that it was a subconscious comment on the phone. So I had to buy a new phone and so with far more careful research opted for the 6700 Classic after nearly going for the navigator version but reading horrendous reviews of malfunctioning key boards and slider bars. The 6700 Classic looks good, handles beautifully, has reasonable personalisation options, is fine on the internet; it works well. Thoroughly recommended.

dissapointed unable to connect to maps to use on long journeys

The Nokia 6700 is a very smooth fone --- but tied to one service. Had I noticed [mea culpa] in the advertisement it was tied I woulld never have bought it. The wording in the ad. was not easy to find and that has to be down to Amazon to makeperfectly clear the SIM FREE does not mean an unlocked fone. Get with it guys! Then I find there is no software to unlock it. That's a double whammy !!

Great little nokia. Quite long battery life, rugged little phone. Clear voice during calls. Takes ok photos. Quick menu access from centre button which you can customise. Not that great for web browsing - not that I was expecting greatness from a non smart phone - but it can do basic facebook or bbc mobile website viewing ok, often long after my smartphone has gone flat if I am away on a train day trip for example.

This phone is not Chrome as suggested, it's a brushed steel colour. I would have assumed it was shiny given it states "Chrome" in the heading!Apart from the damage to the box itself, I can easily see that it has been opened a number of times before I received it and was clearly not in a 'New' condition.This was a very disappointing and extremely expensive mistake.
