Not a fake review. So I ordered this because doing these double walled boxes is extremely hard with a normal box cutter. Let me tell you, this thing cuts through those like butter. If you are on the fence about it, get it now. I know it’s expensive, honestly it should have been priced at $70 but oh well.. but even at 100 dollars, it’s worth it. A tip to those using this tool, make a crease in the box where you will be cutting, it makes it easier… and cutting along the creases on the box like corners. I took down like 3 large boxes in crazy time, it would have took me ages with the regular box cutter. This motorized one comes with a serrated utility blade installed, you basically just take it out of the box and charge it, and then use it. Extremely durable and not too big. Order this now, your life will change because it’s so easy!

I purchased a different box cutter about a month ago. It worked, but was not very efficient, and took a lot of work to push it through cardboard. I live out in the country so I do a lot of online shopping (Amazon and I are very good friends), so I accumulate a lot of boxes. I kept seeing the BoxBlayde on FB and thought that if it actually works like it shows it would be worth it. Well, I spent some time out in the garage yesterday with it and as long as you get the angle correct, it cuts through even heavy duty boxes like butter. A lot more expensive than the previous one, but worth every penny if you have a lot of boxes to cut up. I highly recommend this product.

Good product. Once you get used to it, works fine. Would suggest an improvement. A tiny light at the blade point would help to see your cutting line much better. Have not changed the blade yet.

Great box cutter. Safe very little chance of cutting yourself by accident. Feels good as it easily cuts through any cardboard box. Sam’s Club ships with giant boxes I like using the BoxBlayde on them because it’s much easier than using a utility knife. Also my utility knife blades will fit in my BoxBlayde. You can tell when you put this in your hand that it’s well built and not cheap. This is a high quality box cutter. If you have a lot of boxes to break down this is going to help you get it done faster.

I saw this and it looked fun and efficient. I tried it and admit it was fun. It’s a good weight and feels good in the hand. However for general household recycling of boxes I don’t find it worth the cost or that I would use it. I tried it on an Amazon box and frankly I could deconstruct it just as fast. I’ve read that it takes times to get the hang of it but it did stick in the box. I do love a gadget but for me it’s a no.

It works better than I expected it to and the blades last longer than I expected. There is a bit of a learning curve - how to hold it against the cardboard [sounds silly, I know] and how fast you pull. Also you want to let it spool all the way up [takes about a half second] before you actually start cutting. I've found that most times it works better if I am pulling two pieces through at once [ such as a box folded over] as it fits the opening better and I don't have to worry as much about technique. Cutting 'with the grain' of the cardboard is VERY easy. Cutting against it is a bit more work but still works well. I don't know what the duty cycle is and I don't want to wear it out - but I had a LOT of boxes to break down from Christmas gifts - probably 50 boxes - and I broke them all down into itty bitty squares over the course 3 sessions. The tool didn't feel like it was giving out, I just didn't want to risk it. Ultimately time will tell if it lasts but so far my initial impressions are very good. It is a bit expensive for what it is but if you have to break down a lot of boxes on a regular basis I'd say it's worth it.

In a lot of cases pushing is really good but not in this case. Pushing to cut boxes sucks. I been through 3 cutter you push and this is the BEST cutter. It is so much easier when you pull to cut. Stop using the push cutters and get this one that you pull to cut. So much faster, safe and so much easier to cut all types of boxes. Get it, you will want to cut up tons of boxes into really little pieces just for fun.
