Avoid at all costs
i have had this phone for just over a year its on an orange 18mth contract .i loved the phone in the shop it had everything i wanted but................ after 3 months it developed a series of faults, phone turning itself off mid conversation, messages not getting thru, callers being told my phone is unavailable.it was replaced under duress i must add. within 3 months again it developed more faults this time phone locked out after switching on , no wallpaper just a purple stripey screen which is unaccessable to use.again it was replaced after some i might add fraught calls to orange.another 3 mths or so down the line on phone no3 i now have a another fault no signal unless i put my phone on the window sill or go out into the garden as far as i can go, but even then i will still be cut off mid sentence.my contract is up in January thank god i can get a phone that i can rely on . this phone looks good and has so many nice qualities but is so un reliable.

Nokia 6280 - Classic Nokia
I can only get one with nokia mobile phones, and this one is no exception. The entire set-up is classic nokia and is not challenging. The Phone has some negatives: Battery life is terrible i've charged twice in the last 3 days. Also, not such a problem for me, memory is shockingly low.Asides from that I completely recommend this phone, the camera is good quality (despite being only 2MP), the reception is good, and it is easy to navigate.

Looks great but so fragile
I received this phone from 3 as part of a package deal. For the first five months it was great - good pictures, good sound. However the charger has never worked properly and battery life is very short. I recently dropped the phone and it fell apart - literally. The battery contacts bent out of shape, the sliding top bounced up on a spring and the retaining rods on both sides broke off and fell out. 3 refuse to mend it as it isn't covered for accidental damage under the warrenty and I cannot get the 3 sim to work in any other phone - I've tried 5!!So the message is if you are going for a lock-in package don't get this phone or you may find yourself stuck in a contract with no phone and no service.

Perfect . . . if you want random crashing, lockouts and fragility.
I was really excited about getting this phone. Sadly, within 24 hours and one easy web search, my worst fears were confirmed and I was cursing the day I bought it. As other reviewers have mentioned, battery life is on the low side. More annoying is the fact that it is unreliable. Other reviewers have written that the solution to such limited memory is to buy a memory card, but this does not help an operating system, and the operating system is a problem. Here is an example . . . a month ago, in the middle of the night, I observed a burglary and tried to photograph the culprits. I grabbed the phone, pressed the camera button . . . and waited . . . and waited. Finally, the screen dissolved into blackness. After about 40 seconds the system was up and running again, and the culprits had escaped. Now this kind of crash doesn't happen every time I go to call someone, or take a photo, or play a song, or scroll through my numbers - but it does happen enough to take away any sense of trust. The design of the operating system is good, but what use is that if it just crashes all over the place? Like another reviewer, I also get messages locking me out from my own phone (only remedied by turning it off then on again) and on top of that I often have a full signal yet receive a message telling me the network is unavailable and from that moment, no matter where I take it and how long I wait, it won't work . . . unless . . . you guessed it . . . I turn it off and then on again.Avoid if you have any sense at all. Some people seem to have written good reviews, but any websearch will highlight many problems. I renegotiated my deal for a new phone recently, and as soon as I said which phone I had, their whole tone changed. They knew the issues . . . so be warned.

easy to use but too fragile
I have had my nokia 6280 for over a year now {orange contract phone}. I have to say I have had so many problems with the phone, {this is my third replacement so far}. Common problems I have encountered are: sudden loss of signal and switching on the phone when fully charged sometimes results in message saying phone locked! I previously had the nokia 6230i and having had so many problems with the 6280, regret letting that one go. The phone is not as tough as other nokia phones but it does have its advantages: excellent camera {v. easy to use} and huge screen {great for playing games}!
