does this come with all four fenders or is it only the front set?

All four fenders. This was a great addition to the Jeep, gave me another 2" of clearance.

how bad is the install?

Very easy and straight forward. Uses a lot of the factory mounting holes and comes with a few self tapping screws, but very straight forward installation.

I live in New England. Will these keep winter road salt off my Jeep's doors and hinges or are they not wide enough?

They are very narrow. my 37's coat my jeep in mud and dirt in nevada. Wouldn't stop the road salt. But jeeps look better filthy. Hope this helps

how far do these stick out from the hood?

from edge of hood to front of the grill guard is 17inches...the gap between the grill and the guard is 12inches
