MARENA Original Post-Surgical Compression Bra with Adjustable Closures

This Post Surgery Compression bra is made very well and has just enough compression without being too uncomfortable. I bought it in both the black and beige colors. The size chart fit was correct. There are multiple rows of hooks & eyes to adjust the fit. Note it is not returnable if you open the bag it comes in, so make sure to take your measures when choosing the size.

Post surgical bra. The compression was perfect and comfortable believe it or not! Pricey, but worth it for the health of my breasts after surgery.

Generally speaking, the compression on this bra is good, but I had some serious issues with it rolling up on the bottom, even before washing it. If I had known this was an issue before my surgery, I would not have picked this bra, as it is not the best for my stitches. I also had an issue with a bit of hard material at the shoulder strap that wasn't covered when it was on the last set of closures (the longest setting) and I've been having to keep gauze on that part to keep it from irritating my skin.

This post surgery bra was absolutely a wonderful. I had a press lift, and it helped keep everything supported and felt so comfortable. The coverage was amazing and it was easy to wash. The front closure made it also easy to put on. There was also extra room to adjust the shoulder straps as well as the front closure. I will continue using it as a sports bra now that I’ve recovered from my surgery

I followed the size chart and it FTTS. I really appreciate the care and thoughtfulness put into this post-op bra. PROS: 1) it’s available in a wide range of cup size and band combinations so you can get your exact size. Other brands that I tried, though also good quality and much cheaper, sold only in S, M, etc so the cups are too big for my smaller size. If I went down a size then the band would be too tight. 2) the longline elastic bottom band does not sit on your incisions which is a blessing, the stitches (seams) face outward and does not rub against your skin. 3) the front and shoulder straps hook & eye closures allow you to further adjust the bra for the best fit through the stages of healing after surgery. It hugs me in all the right places and stays in place. CONS: 1) expensive and you cannot try it on then return if it doesn’t work. It’s NOT returnable if you break the seal/open the package. So make sure you follow the instructions to measure yourself correctly then follow the size chart. 2) the edge of the elastic bottom band is kind of sharp, not the softest. It dug into my skin uncomfortably whenever I bent. The inner edges around the neck line and the armpits are not the softest either but kind of rough. At first they rubbed against my skin uncomfortably. It took me a while to get used to it. Either that or they softened up a bit after wear & washes. Overall, though not a “pure bliss” kind of bras, this is still the best fit and supporting bras for post-op. Note that this bra is not lined and does not have built-in pockets. The cups material is the same as the rest of the bra so they are thin.

This is the one to get! After replacing implants due to mastectomy, I ordered 2 or 3 different ones and this is the one I kept. It is adjustable in the shoulders with hook and eye as well as in the front for tightening or loosening. Don’t do the Velcro ones. The doctor included 2 Velcro ones in my post op kit, but they were too short and rubbed against the incisions. Also, your laundry will stick to the Velcro unless you put them in a mesh bag by themselves. If there were one thing to make this one better, it would be to make it about 2 inches longer. But then, it would be more expensive. Make it more affordable, and then I would buy two or three which is what you really need since you need a clean one every day.

Identical to the bra put I came out of surgery with. Works as intended. When you have to wear this for 6 weeks, 24 hours a day it's worth the money to have a spare to put in the wash.

Works very well as a compression bra post-surgery. Super comfortable with just the right amount of compression without being too tight.
