Sorel Men's Paxson Chukka Waterproof Snow Boot

I've worn these boots for two winters now as my casual winter boot.They look and feel great!I really like the slip on feature for easy on and off access, especially if I've got gloves on or my hands are full, I can kick off my snow covered boots when I enter the house, hands free.These boots have had no problem keeping my feet and toes warm, even in sub-zero temperatures. Though I only really wear them for casual use, like walking to the store or going out for a brew, so it's not like I am outside in these for really extended periods of time.The leather upper has a tendency to get salt stains on it, but what boots don't in the winter? And it cleans off very easily.The only downside is that I have taken these on a number of longer walks, and I find that the insoles that come with it are not very supportive and my feet are much more tired than if I were wearing some of my more supportive boots. So, if you are planning to go on some longer walks with these, I would plan on getting some more supportive insoles.

First I have to say that I never ever go back and write reviews. I'm writing this as the male user of these boots, not as the account name. These boots are absolutely unbelievable. I originally was looking for a slip on boot for the winter because I am an EMT and didnt want to have to stop to tie my boots when a call came over. They slip on fairly easily but are not too loose as I was afraid might be the case. I just spent 2 hours shoveling a fairly wet, 10" snow and my feet stayed completely warm and dry. Also, my socks were not even wet from perspiration which is what usually happens when I shovel snow.Also, I am a building contractor and I am always in and out of the houses. sometimes they are heated and sometimes they are not. I am also In and out of the house in all kinds of weather and my feet have yet to be too cold or too warm.After reading the reviews about sizing I decided to go with my usual size of 10.5 and they fit perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend these boots.

They are so comfortable. No break in period needed-- perfect slipper-like fit and feel right out of the box. I wear an 8.5 and by gum the 8.5 fits perfectly. This is the first pair of boots that I have ever talked to. Telling them how cozy they are thanking them for keeping my feet so comfortable and warm. I wake up an hour earlier now just to have some "quiet time" with my cup of coffee and my Sorels. I'm kidding but I'm not. Really comfortable, really well made, really super.

I was originally looking for a warm, comfortable and waterproof pair of dog-walking boots. I wanted ones that protected just above the ankle so I could weather the unplowed sidewalks and snow piles without getting my feet wet and cold. I’m already familiar with the Sorel quality as I have a pair of their very warm winter boots for clearing snow. However, I was looking for a boot that was more of a casual shoe in terms of style and comfort. Well, if you are looking for the same, I would highly suggest that you try these boots! I ordered my normal shoe/sneaker size, 8 D(M). With free returns, why not? Well, they fit perfect for me. I wore my warm weather ankle-length sports socks with these boots all day that the temperature was in the 20’s. While my feet were warm, I did experience some chafing where the top of the boot made contact with my skin after a while.Other than that, I can’t recommend these boots enough!

These boots immediately became my everyday footwear. The fit is perfect and they are very comfortable. I stand at my desk and walk about 1.5 miles every day for lunch and I've been comfortable with both. On warmer days, they do get very hot, and when my feet sweat I sometimes feel like I have an inch of water in there. But that's the same with most boots, especially waterproof ones. You'll want high socks, because the felt can be very rough on your ankles. I haven't tested the waterproofing too much so far, but I've stepped in 1-2" puddles and stayed dry.One thing I really like with these is that they're fairly snug for a pull-on shoe, meaning that I can run a block or two if I need to. A lot of pull-on shoes are too loose to run without them flopping around like flip-flops so I'm glad these don't do that.

I bought these boots because I was gonna live in Fairbanks, AK for a while. This shoe was perfect. I'm on my 2nd season on the ice and I still have all my toes. I ordered a half size larger than what I regularly wear because I wanted to wear thicker socks anyway and it worked out pretty well. I wanted a shoe that would keep my feet warm and dry but also something I can wear when I go into town and these boots definitely didn't disappoint. I don't think they are rated for those -50 type weathers here but I wasn't gonna use them for that reason. I plan on using them as regular rain boots since they are waterproof too when I head back to the lower 48 states. I highly recommend. The product looks like it was built to last too!

It took him about two days to stretch them out at the top to make it easy for his foot to slide in and out and they were comfortable immediately he said. He walked about 3 miles day one in melting wet snow- his feet stayed dry and warm and he didn't get any blisters. The following day I took him to a huge mall and we wandered for a couple hours and they were still comfortable and not too hot he said. I can't talk about longevity but certainly for now they are exactly what I was looking for after his other very well known brand waterproof boots that looked waterproof & only stylish enough to wear walking the dog/ shoveling snow soaked his feet over and over again. He's between a 10.5 and 11 average to wide foot and 11 worked great.
