I have 2 of these now. The larger adult one in aluminium and this ‘plastic’ one. I love both of them. I have quite large hands for a woman but I do think I prefer the junior size as it just sits more comfortably and I’m not hesitant I’m going to drop it. These are quite weighty toys and extremely well made. The mechanism is extremely smooth and easy to turn. The aluminium one is too cold for me to use straight away. I need to warm it with my hands first so for me that’s a bit annoying. Once it’s warm it’s fine to use. The plastic one feels more like a warm rubber also there is no actual give in it as rubber would and I much prefer this texture. It’s smooth but warm, hard to explain how nice it feels. Hopefully someone will understand. They are quite pricy but the quality is just spot on. Would be nice to have a roller ball or something at the ends to fidget with when I want to use my fingers.

I never normally do reviews but after taking this thing out of the box, I can't put it down. I got the abs plastic version because I wear rings on both hands and figured that a metal one would make too much noise. I find the texture alone on this thing is addictive. It feels really smooth especially after using it for a while because it warms up. You don't know you're holding it and the action of rolling in your hand becomes the norm, but at the same time takes your mind off of things. The quality of workmanship is perfect. There are no sharp edges or screws protruding which makes it comfortable however you hold it. The size is discrete and nobody would know you were holding it if maybe in a business meeting or busy environment.

I have both a diagnosis of Autism and am borderline ADHD, so find it near impossible to maintian focus without fidgeting. After trying spinners, fidget cubes, squishy toys, and even just carrying a console controller around (my usual outlet that isn't my phone), I can say that this is by far the best of the lot! I bought a Junior Roller as I have petite hands. It's smooth and silent, so doesn't distract anyone else, and the build quality feels exceptional and long lasting, which is good because I haven't put it down for days. It makes it so much easier for me to focus on conversations or to watch a movie, and reduces the amount of anxiety I get when I go outside. Super happy with my purchase; it's more than worth the money.

**update** I contacted Ono about this issue as the return window for Amazon was over by a few days. They said it was not expected for normal wear and tear and are sending a replacement. Very good customer service and communication. Daughter loves this (9 years old) - she uses it throughout the school day to help her focus in class. Had it just over a month and have had to tighten it twice. Two alan keys are provided so this was expected. What was unexpected was the surface wearing as it has as seen in the images provided. Feels good, silent mechanism, weighty, fits kids hand well. The only thing that would have made it a 5* apart from the surface wear would be if the Allen keys were a touch smaller so they fitted comfortably in the pouch with the Ono. This probably isn't a problem with the adult ones.

Very pleased with this fidget toy. Smooth quiet action. Definitely worth the money.

My son is 9 with sensory processing disorder. He’s super bright but couldn’t settle down to write in class as his anxiety and distraction was too overwhelming. This roller is fantastic, is silent, simple and easy to use and helps my son to focus and manage his anxiety. His teacher is amazed at the difference it makes. I bought the black one so it didn’t look like a toy and so didn’t draw attention. He is so thrilled that he has a strategy now. Can’t recommend enough. The roller is sleek, quiet, a pleasing weight in the palm and a smooth roll. My eldest daughter has started biting her nails in anxiety… hurts what she’s getting for Christmas?!

This product lasted less than 2 weeks, before it effectively fell apart. To be clear, i hardly used it (perhaps at most 3-4 hours). I have started to use it today, and the plastic hinges have literally disintegrated. For the cost, i was expecting this to last a lot longer.

This is a good fidget. I purchased it to reduce my nail biting. I was hesitant to buy the junior size, because I have huge hands (women’s XL glove size), but the junior size was perfect. Also I was debating the different materials and I settled on the plastic and it is fantastic. Smooth movement. I would recommend it. I might need to also buy a spiked roller like this to increase the sensory feedback. It helps me keep my hands busy.

Super great quality and nice feel in the hand. Motion is smooth and silent, so perfect for school. My son brought it to school and he said he enjoyed spinning it and it helped him focus on the teacher more (his interpretation hahaha, not sure what the teacher thought).

looks premium function as it should be, but I have to say it the material it made off its just has stiffness in to it makes a bit heavier to what it is and hard to roll it for few minutes, just if the material more durable has some sponge feel it would be better that would be more ease to the nerves I guess.
