Brodit 655065 Right Hand Drive ProClip for 15-18 - Black

This ProClip fitted my Ford Focus 2015 model very well - it's a nice tight fit in a place that doesn't block anything else too much. Problem came when instead of buying a specific holder for my phone, I bought the recommended universal holder from Herbert Richter because I ight be changing my phone soon and wanted flexibility.The holder includes a Tilt Swivel attachment to connect it to the ProClip, and using that the holder ended up too close to the steering wheel, so my hand kept knocking it when I turned the wheel or moved to change gear. In the end I removed the Tilt Swivel and stuck the holder directly to the ProClip using a double sided sticky pad provided. Seems much better - I'll update this if I have any problems.------Update. Have driven for a few days with the holder stuck directly to the ProClip, and decided it's still not ideal. Only happens occasionally now but my hand still hits the holder/phone, especially in traffic when changing gear a lot. Dare say I'll live with it but can't believe Brodit didn't test this. I'm quite tall so have the steering wheel pulled out from the dash, but if I was shorter and the wheel was closer to the dash it would be unworkable. If you want to go the Brodit route, the holder made specifically for your phone may work, but personally I would get the bracket made for the passenger side vent.To be clear, my comments are only for the Ford Focus late 2014 and 2015 onwards, with the dash shown in the photo.

While previous experience of Brodit mounts and holders has been great this is a failure.... while mount fits car when you add the holder it gets too close to the steering wheel making it impossible to drive without hitting it.

This ProClip places the tilt/swivel holder directly between the steering wheel and the gear lever and it makes it inevitable that your hand will strike it - a lot. The resultant position of the phone also annoyingly blocks some of the ventilation controls of the vehicle.It is a surprise to me that the usually perfect design of the Brodit range has been compromised this one time. I am forced to waste my money and abandon this one and try the one that fits on the left-hand vent instead.
