I like it a lot
I really like the concept of the folding yoga mat, and was happy to find out it existed. Not a fan of doing my post yoga class errands with the big yoga roll under my arm. It's almost like a flag saying look at me; I do yoga. Don't need that. So folding mat made my day. It's a handy size size and you can stuff your yoga pants in the tote bag so everything is ready to go and compact. I can stick it behind the seat of my car and be ready for class. It's not the thickest mat in the world, but it's got more cushion than I expected. The only problem is it's not quite as sticky as my other mats. My hands kinda slide a bit in downward dog, but it's still new so I imagine it will get better once broken in a bit. What remains to be seen is how the fold creases will hold up in the long run.PS this company threw in some random freebies into the box (which was too big for the item): two sample Tom's of Maine toothpaste tubes and a 0-6 month size cotton "onesie" with a print that says "vintage NY kid." I don't know that that was all about but it made me chuckle. Weird in a good way. Now I'm all set for my next out-of-town baby shower?UPDATE: as of nov, 2015, it is still hanging in there, and the slickness is long gone.

Perfect for my needs, although with its softness, is easy to gouge pieces out of it
I was looking for a mat to use at home as well as to pack a suitcase. This really fits the bill. My studio matt obviously is better, but the point with this mat is to stash it easily at home (it's definitely not bulky or unwieldy) and take along for practice on the road. I have found, similar to other comments, that it is easy to gouge pieces out of the mat, so I am more aware/careful not to let my nails dig in. I'm OK with this because I see it as a trade-off having stashability, thinness, and the stickiness not to slip as trade-offs on the softness up the mat; and aside from this one issue, I would give the product five stars. If you would not be OK with this, this probably would not be a mat for you. Having it does help me keep my practice consistent when not in a studio.

I like this travel mat!
I needed a yoga mat to take along on trips, and this one is really good! It's easy to fold back up, and the floor side folds to the middle, so you don't get floor crud on the "clean" side of the mat. I find it easy to get out of and into the carrying case. The thickness is maybe not quite as good as a non-travel mat, but it's still pretty good. I'm used to practicing on carpet, but I have used this on hard flooring, and it's pretty decent. I haven't had it all that long, and haven't used it all that much yet, so I can't address durability, but it seems durable enough. It's compact enough that it will fit in a roll-aboard, but it takes up almost half of the space. Still, that teaches you to travel lighter, right? It smells like new mat for a while after you get it, but you just have to leave it out for a while, and that goes away pretty quickly. Namaste.

love it. I bought for an intense yoga retreat ...
I read every possible note on all travel mats and purchased this one, love it. I bought for an intense yoga retreat with yoga girl in aruba, 2 practices a day approximately 2 hours per practice. Mat fit perfectly in my carry on suitcase and still allowed room for my yoga clothes for a week. Minimal smell. Folds easily and keeps the used side clean. Thickness was great for me, approximately 3-4 mm, just enough to add some cushion for bad knees but could still grip for balance poses. Color is like in picture, an orangey pink, with nice design. I love the lines for lining up poses. Quality has been good, I am still using it for my primary mat now that I'm home again--both in studio and outside on the grass. It's a little softer than the thin mats so if you scrape it you can gouge it, but I've not had any problems thus far. I've very happy with my purchase.

Surprisingly cheap but good yoga mat.
I have recently used this mat for some restorative yoga. My yogatoes towel covered the entire mat perfectly. I didn't notice the folds while I was doing yoga; which was a concern initially. The bag is handy but I cracked the handle because I placed the mat, my towel and a water bottle in it. My fault. :) But it will still be a useful container for the mat and a towel. Folded up and fit back into its bag easily after yoga class. I only give it a 4 star now because I haven't tried to travel with it yet. But I think I can put it in my huge computer backpack easily. Will update when I travel with it. And I love that it doesn't curl up like normal mats. BIG plus.

Promising...but ultimately doesn't live up to the "hype" of the description.
As a recent yoga enthusiast and frequent traveler for work, I was blown away at the possibility of having this mat and being able to do yoga when I travel, using my own mat, rather than borrowing one from a studio. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed when I finally used it, which was actually today. Though the mat is lovely to look at, and conveniently folds to carry in your suitcase, that is about the extent of anything positive I have to say. It is thinner than most yoga mats and is therefore VERY HARD on the knees, especially if you are doing yoga on a wooden floor (as most classes are) or if you're outside!! It totally killed my knees today trying to manage child's pose. It is also narrower than the usual mats by at least 1 1/2- 2 inches.Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible. It's well made and decent quality of foam rubber (or whatever its made of) which is why I gave it 3 stars rather than 2 or 1, but beware, purchase at your own risk, especially the risk of your knees and elbows.

Lightweight and Thin
The mat is on the thinner side, which I guess is by design since it's probably great for traveling. But it makes me worried about durability since I always leave elbow marks on it. The other thing that is a bit odd to me is the width, for me it's as wide as my chest w/o my arms. Not a dealbreaker for me, but it was definitely a surprise.

The mat is good. Nice and thin
The mat is good. Nice and thin ..... After using the mat kind of "loses" it's shape so you have to be careful when folding. Also gets slippery ....so use a mat towel with it. I used a gift card to pay for some it. Worth the $20 I spent on it - not sure it's worth $35-40 for full retail price.

Five Stars
A tad bit bigger than I expected, but will fit the bill perfectly.
