Wright Tool 787 Miniature Combination Wrench Set (10-Piece)

I was disappointed with this product. I had the exact same set which was stolen, and this purchase was intended to replace it. But the wrenches are not at all like my previous set, even though the part number of the set is the same and the carrying pouch is identical. These look like they were stamped out of sheet metal!! And the burrs weren't even removed before it was chrome plated. Every one of the wrenches has a burr on the box end in the same place, and the edges on one side of each wrench are rather sharp. One wrench even has an ugly chrome-plated blob on the open end. The box end dimensions are also such that it would be difficult to turn a fastener that doesn't have much radial clearance around it. Is the wrench actually very strong and will it hold up under hard use? I don't know - but they sure look cheap. All my other Wright Tool wrenches are super extremely awesomely good tools - what happened to these? Were they made by somebody else or are they fakes? The "Wright" name is not to be found anywhere on them. I give it two stars because the chrome plating and polish looks good and I have some faith that they are strong. But the older version was much better. If they were anything like the originals I would give it five stars. I also purchased the metric companion to this set at the same time, and they are the same way. My older wrenches were a slightly darker chrome - sort of greyish, which was distinctive, and they were very smooth. I wish Wright Tools would replace these with the real thing, but I don't know how to initiate contact with them. For now, I will live with these, and hope they hold up in actual use.Update. Recently had to use these wrenches in a hard-to-reach application. The wrenches wouldn't turn the bolts, kept slipping off, rounding off the bolts. The fit was very loose and the jaws flex outward with any significant torque. Switched to my Facom brand wrenches which are similar length. They fit snug and worked perfectly. These Wright Tool wrenches are junk. Too bad. Wright usually makes high quality products. I love all my other Wright tools.

I'm happy because this set goes down to 5/32". Low quality stamped set at a high price. Would recommend if you need a set that goes down to 5/32".

Will probably do the job. Stamped, not forged. Expect better quality from Wright. Guess Wright does not think small bolts/nuts need anything better.

Gave this set for a Christmas present, only to be disappointed by poor quality. The 3/8" boxed end was not even stamped or machined out. It was perfectly smooth all the way around. I could have ordered a cheaper set from China but I thought "Well, I will support good ole USA manufacturing". Well, so much for that logic. I think Wright could do better!

all as advertised; I'd buy again if the need came up

ordered on a monday and got it on that wednesday, quick delivery and excellent plating almost craftman quality.. very nice set of wrenches. I recommend these to anyone needing a set of very small set of wrenches..thank you "Wright Tool"...
