Had one for about a year now and it has held up well to Barbicide (the liquid comb disinfectant) I do not use the Florida style Barbicide that melts other combs so I cannot attest to that. 1. Very Light 2. Very Smooth 3. Does not scratch customers scalp 4. Right size for sectioning hair for shear work and doing clipper over comb. 5. Very durable This is my favorite comb, I waited a long time before doing a review to really put it to the test and now it’s the only comb I use for general work, I threw out my others.

This is a really great comb. You can tell it’s quality made, not cheap feeling or looking. First experience with a Chicago comb, would definitely recommend as overall good value for money.

It's actually amazing, not really sure why but probably the EXTREME level of precision with no seam like you typically find on a plastic comb. You know what I'm talking about, like how the plastic is poured into a casting mould and there's always this little "line" where the mould is broken. Well this comb doesn't have that AT ALL. And it's SUPER light, and has so far been SUPER durable, it's sort of creepy to use tbh, where a plastic comb would bend this things holds firm but won't break? You do sort of need to relearn how to comb your hair though if you have longer hair. Bought one for my daughter as well and she loves it too.

These carbon combs reduce static but they don't totally eliminate it. I had purchased two different styles and love them both, although this particular comb (Model 6) has short teeth that aren't ideal for my thick hair. Luckily, the other one I purchased has long teeth and works well on both wet and dry hair. These are quality combs and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase them again.

Twas fate that brought Chicago Combs and I together! I had 3 Kent combs on the way from Amazon. I've used them in previous years but no longer owned any, so I wanted to get something familiar. Well... the delivery was late one day, two days, and suddenly deemed 'Undeliverable.' Anyway, I looked around for something else, albeit similar, and quickly stumbled on Chicago. I started researching which combs are highly regarded nowadays, and I found a ton of glowing reviews on these, especially on YouTube. Beardsmen seem to love these combs! I now own a carbon fiber #1, #2, and a #6 and I have to say, they are amazing. Surprisingly sturdy, glide through the beard without snagging, and absolutely no static buildup. You could easily let a hair dryer have its way with these too, and it wouldn't matter. I feel like #s 7 and 8 are probably in my future as well, once the beard starts getting really long. Overall, a great alternative to the plastic combs of old. Highly recommended!

If you only use cheap combs that came with other things you bought, you are missing out. Treat yourslef to this comb and see how it feels to use a real comb instead of those plastic cheap ones. It is strong and i liked it so much, i bought two, one for the home and one for the travel bag.

I have beard hair that love to get tangled... this comb glides through and feels like therapy with each stroke.

This has since become my go-to brand of comb, and I've purchased a total of 3 because of their quality and I keep multiple around the flat for whenever I need it for a quick tidy up, a beard trim - and one in my bag so I have it available when I'm out and about! I've had both long hair (Like, really long hair), and short hair in the past and find these combs work well regardless, with sturdy construction and good size. I appreciate that cost will be a negative factor for some, but these are worth it.
