They hold place cards very well, they are a good weight, they come in a little plastic case which I appreciated very much, and I look forward to using these at future dinner parties.

These little stands are a perfect weight to hold cards or paper for announcements. We will be using them to hold table numbers for a wedding. They grip the thin paper without any trouble. They would also hold card stock fine as well. Any thicker than that and you may have trouble. The container they came in was broken when I got them and I was concerned about quality, but they were all individually wrapped in tissue paper and in perfect shape... we just won't be able to use the little storage box for them.
