Safety Warning Please note, anyone who had a 'proper childhood' has the scars to prove it - toys like these can be dangerous if the correct precautions are not taken. We suggest helmets and pads are always worn and the more exciting tools are left to the adults. Start slowly and learn to control the kart before over-enthusiastic brothers start pushing too fast! Most of all use common sense and make sure you do this as an activity together and you'll be fine. It does however go without saying that you have been warned - we cannot be held responsible for any injuries to any people or property which happen while using these kits.

Brilliant!
The kids said:Fun to build. Easy to build. Some good tips in the instructions. Good exercise. Great for Grandad to help. Exciting. Bit dangerous. Great value for money. Fabulous customer service. We had a great time building our go kart together & have had hours of fun, even in the rain. Went 'off piste' from the instructions and built an old school contraption but all we needed was in the pack. Several people have stopped, smiled & chatted to us, reminiscing about building their own.Great fun, filled up the Easter holidays perfectly. Highly recommend both the kit and the company. Many thanks.

Great high quality kit
Great high quality kit, easy to build with simple instructions provided. My 9 year old daughter really enjoyed building it in the garage with me over the weekend. Working with the garage doors open the Go Kart attracted several of our neighbours’ kids who were all curious and then wanted to help with the build too. Plenty of easy drilling, sawing and fixing to ensure kids are excited and engaged in building something really impressive and fun. Great sense of achievement having built and customized it from old wooden pallets and my daughter plays on it endlessly. When she’s out on it, it seems all the other kids in the neighborhood want to pile on and play too. Excellent low-tec, old school fun. Very good value for a top quality sturdy product – the wheels in particular are fantastic. We had a question about one of the parts and had brilliant customer service from the supplier who replied promptly to our query and quickly helped sort us out. Super product – thank you.

Fantastic kit to build your own Go Kart
This is a great Go Kart kit, we slightly changed our plans and never used a pallet, but the skills of a grandpa and some spare wood and steering bar lying around!! We wanted to be able to use it going down our road in the quiet village, so a good brake and steering was needed!!The kit is ideal to make a basic or top notch Kart, anything is possible with a bit of imagination!!The wheels are strong and perfect for the job.I can highly recommend Muddy knees for their product, communication and ideas. The children will love it, mine have had hours of fun on the Kart, used on road, gravel and grass.A very solid Kart that will last.

Great fun for the kids
We purchased 4 kits for a kids summer project at our church. Wulstan was extremely helpful in answering our queries. The instructions are easy to follow and screws etc are well laid out in separate bags for each stage of the construction. In our case we built the chasis first and then helped the children finish, pimp and paint them. The karts proved extremely popular with the children. My tips - use a pallet with all the blocks in place. If you can't find one, fill in the blanks with blocks to strengthen the chasis. This is vital if the Dad's start to use them! We also extended the brake handle slightly beyond the end of the chasis to make it easier to grab. We actually screwed on a cylindrical piece of wood.
