Cuts a Clean Hole, Seem Well Made
I got this specifically to bore a few holes through some joists for piping and mc cables. While an auger bit would be the ideal choice, I had tight clearances, so I needed a shorter bit. This did a great job and it still functions like new after having used it for a few days. It cuts a clean hole and does so reasonably fast - again, not as fast as an auger, but that's to be expected. Overall worth it. I'm happy with how it performed, especially for the price, and it's held up.

It's a Craftsman...
I got this to replace an old hole saw bit that had dulled over time. It worked well on my new hydroponic setup, without having to smell the burning plastic like when using my old bit. It also went through a 5 gallon bucket quickly. I can't say how it will do on wood, but that's not why I got it. It worked perfectly for my needs.

As good as a bi metal hole saw can get
Wanted to show the packaging because they almost never show that. We use Bi-Metal hole saws at work for a variety of things, like drilling through drywall with metal studs to run conduit or MC (otherwise I'd just use a spade bit), Drilling into a metal panel to land conduit, Drilling the back of aluminum housed light fixtures to add a cable, etc. This hole saw feels well made as any other I've used from the big brands, I will say I like the added feature of having the mandrel set screw be a flathead. Too often you'll get this tiny allen screw that strips out on you and this won't do that as easily. Also, be aware that the shank is 3/8, and just because it looks like a hex for an impact driver doesn't mean it fits. I tested it, it does not fit a standard impact driver's collet, this is made for chucking up into a drill.

Great Value
This bi-metal hole saw is a solid tool for electricians or anyone working with drywall and metal studs. It cuts cleanly and efficiently, and I appreciate the flathead set screw on the mandrel. Just remember that the 3/8" shank is meant for a drill chuck, not an impact driver.

Works great
The holesaw works great, and seems to be good quality. Easily cuts through wood. Haven't tried it on anything else.

Perfect
This arrived just in time, I've been working on redoing my office, some semi-custom built ins, new desk setup, etc. and I wanted to be able to run cords and such discreetly. This smoothly cut the holes, no splintering, tearing, or otherwise jagged cuts. I was able to quickly smooth the holes down and repaint, no repairs or anything needed. All of my cords are neatly tucked out of the way, but I can get to them if needed, and there's no wire mess. Since I'm not hardwiring, and I intend to sell the house next year, I approached this like a rental, so nothing is permanent, and this worked perfectly to help get things to existing outlets, and I can take it all down and return this to a formal living room easily when it comes time to sell. Worked great for my purposes.

Exactly what you'd expect from CRAFTSMAN
I have a number of these hole saws in various sizes, but not the 1.75" one, so I was looking to add this to the collection. It performs as you'd expect, easily cutting holes once you get the drill bit set to guide it where you want, which is great. I do wish they wouldn't have this in a blister pack. In olden times at SEARS they just had a plastic hang tag attached to it so it was easy to remove it and start using it with minimal waste. That's my only complaint, and it's a niggly one, so five stars, well deserved.

A good hole saw with arbor and pilot bit included
Craftsman’s 1.25-in bi-metal arbored hole saw is a good hole saw with arbor and pilot bit included!I’ve gotten frustrated with the tool industry’s endless nickel-and-diming, so I was happy to see a hole saw that comes with the arbor and pilot bit included. Teeth are sharp, and the bi-metal material will make the tool last longer than others. The arbor will fit in a 3/8” shank or larger (i.e., most drills), and the arbor appears interchangeable with other hole saws—though I don’t know what brands. Like some other brands, it threads onto the arbor without any other hardware mechanism to hold it in place. It’s not the most cost-effective choice out there, but it has brand recognition, the Craftsman legacy, and, of course, an extensive line of products connecting to this one.Highly recommended!
