Grapevine protection netting
I bought this net to cover a grapevine to keep birds and critters from eating the grapes. I cut the rope off and the resultant long lead lines connecting the rope to the bottom, then "cast" the net over the grapevine (which sits in a 1/2 wine barrel with a sturdy wire cage around it), and then tied the loose rope around the base of weighted net at the outside bottom of the wine barrel to keep critters from getting underneath it. Perfect solution, still able to water the vine easily, and easy to take the netting off when grapes are ready to be taken off the vine. The circular construction of the net works beautifully for this purpose. I purchased the 1/4-inch mesh 7' radius net. It keeps the birds and critters out.

A lot of fun with practice
Works great, already took it on 3 trips.Grabbed a rock one time on the jetties and snapped one of the cables in it trying to recover it, but I was able to fix it on the spot and get back to catching bait fish (I feel it even worked better after I fixed it). I used it on 1 pier with no success and 2 jetties were I caught something every time I got a good cast. I caught bait fish, 1 large beautiful starfish, a few conch, and what looked like a couple brittle starfish (I only kept the bait fish and conch). 0 rust on the weights so far and I have not rinsed the net once yet.I use this for catching bait, but also seeing if I can find something cool to put into my aquarium (I like to have common local aquatic life in my aquarium and I have it setup to simulate my local marina).Takes practice and youtube videos to learn how to actually cast it correctly.I got the 3' version, since I live in Southern California and that is the legal max diameter that I can use. I really want a bigger version to bad.... If your in Northern California or another state that allows for bigger nets, I recommend getting something bigger then 3'.Crazy story, my friend and I saw a $100 bill floating in the water when we where on a jettie and actually caught it using this net, but unfortunately it was movie production fake money.... looked very real. Very cool that we could get it with this net however.

Surprised by it
I have used a lot of different nets. Mostly for bait and mullet in salt water. I throw a $250 black pearl for bait. I bought this to throw in a lake behind my house for tilapia. Figured I’d get a cheap one since I have already ruined expensive nets on snags. I was shocked how easy this net throws. It does not tangle. Don’t have to clear it constantly. It opens perfect. Only con is the weight. Wish it had heavier leads to sink faster. But I just bought the lead sinker version and going to try it. It was $80 vs this one at $60. Although I was getting tilapia I think the heavier one will do better. Can’t wait till it gets here.

Great little net!
I got this 5' net because first I ordered the 7' and it was just too big for me. Although I'm a novice at casting it...I'm learning pretty fast and this net is the perfect size. It had a great price also. Thank you

1/4 inch
Very reliable net! I love the 1/4 inch mesh none of my bait got stuck in the holes from net to cooler with ease! With the last net I had the bait would get stuck in the holes very aggravating. By far the best cast net I have ever purchased!

Crappy casting net
I realize it's a inexpensive net, but I've bought nets before in this price range that had much better quality. I can barely get a grip on the net because it is so "fluffy" and will not lay out flat. No matter how its soaked or laid out. I have never seen this before with a casting net. It's a big mess which makes it very hard to throw

Too slow
The net sinks too slow even in shallow water the fish are gone before the net captures them
