Good Value, Well Written Installation and User's Guide
Overall ... I'm very pleased with my Midea 6,000 Btuh unit. Things that impressed me: 1. Well packaged. Used styrofoam to protect the plastic face panel. 2. Well written and easy to understand installation and user's guide. 3. Cooling and Fan speed ... the unit appears to cool well and has a powerful (but quiet) fan. 4. Remote control (batteries included). 5. Weight .... Even a guy in his 70's can easily lift this unit and carefully position it in the window frame. 6. Foam for Sill and Sides to close up tiny gaps is included. I needed a very narrow width A/C unit to replace the existing fridgidair unit that I had for 15 years, and I selected the Midea 6K Btuh unit. I did not need to use the side accordion panels, since I made a custom woodent frame to hold the Midea in place.

Wonderfully surprised!
Have to say, I wasnโt sure these would be enough to cool my whole place, but theyโre doing so well! I purposefully waited a couple of months to make sure they held up a little, and this summer has just been a breeze thanks to this unit. So, my apartment is about 700sq ft and I ordered two of the 6,000 BTU units. One is in the bedroom and the other is in my office. The set up was simple enough and I did end up buying a separate piece of foam to cut out and add extra cushion above them both to really try and keep things sealed well. My apartment has maintained itself at around 75-76ยฐ in the warmer rooms if I set both units to 72ยฐ, which is absolutely pleasant for me. You could always set them a little lower to bring down the overall temperature if youโre cooling a whole floor like I am. Iโve also tried out just using the fan functions when itโs cooler out and I can open up the windows, and thatโs also great. I donโt personally think these are overly noisy, but I suppose thatโs going to depend on what youโre looking for. I can have the one in my office running just a couple of feet away from my computer while Iโm in meetings and thereโs no issue with the sound picking up on my end. The remotes make things convenient as well, and eco mode is nice from time to time if things arenโt blistering hot out. I had them both running basically non-stop in July and my total electric bill for the apartment was only $150, so I canโt complain at all about their efficiency, either. Iโm really just super surprised in the best way. Iโd definitely buy from this brand again.

Perhaps it is suitable for others.
The cooling performance is good. It is a bit noisyโthough, of course, that varies by model.

Low quality cooling
Works well and slightly not cold enough!

BEWARE: COMPLETE JUNK. DIED 3 MONTHS AFTER BUYING.
COMPLETE JUNK. DIED 3 MONTHS AFTER BUYING. Unit worked okay for 3 months with my only problem being that the remote was more complicated than programming a VCR and the timer function didn't work any way I tried it. Whatever - the unit spit out cold air. That is, until the unit's LED display started showing me error code A5. I did some research and A5 means either the room-facing temperature solenoid is malfunctioning, or else you have iced-up coils. I unplugged the unit and left it off in the 100-degree heat for 24 hours. Any ice in there would have melted within minutes. Plugged back in; still throws the A5 error code. Okay, let's check the solenoid. I pull the whole thing off of the window and disassemble it to check the solenoid. The solenoid is in the correct position and is connected to the main wiring harness. So either I have to get out the soldering iron and start messing around, OR, toss this complete piece of junk into the trash where it belongs and buy a brand that isn't a complete waste of money. Gonna go with the latter. Don't end up like me - buy a different brand.

Fast cooling and high cost-effectiveness.
This portable air conditioner cools quickly and is quieter than other floor-standing air conditioners. It offers excellent value for money, is compact, and easy to install.

Caution
I was really hoping this would be a good purchase. It arrived on time. A couple of days later I took it out of the box and accounted for all parts. It took me 3 hours to install as had an issue with balance. Finally got it secured. Turned it on and the operation instructions on the face of the conditioner failed to lights up as well as the hand control. So using a flashlight, got it to setting I wanted. I tried calling Midea but was told to go onlline. I called Amazon. Amazon offered to refund my money if I returned the unit. I am one person and had no way of loading it and finding a return center. So Amazon gave me a gift card for approximately a quarter of the cost and I kept the unit. Really have no issue with the unit's cooling process bit it is very loud. It is just tiresome to have to use a flashlight each time it is turned on or off. I would suggest checking the operational parts before installing. My current electric bill only includes usage for a short time so will not know until the next bill arrives how much wattage is used.

This thing is fantastic it will freeze you in the summer and cook you in the winter
I got this unit straight from Madea and she swore it would freeze me out the house. Well she was right not only did it freeze me out the house but when I ran it in the middle of winter it kept me warm as well when my house caught on fire. The neighbors are all happy and asked where they could get one. I told them Madea gave me mine but you can definitely get one at Amazon or Walmart. I highly recommend it if you want to keep your house temperatures in the perfect range. Also the remote works great when you throw it directly at the manual temp button on the front.
